Έσπερος ΙΧΘΥΣ Ψαροταβέρνα — Restaurant in Municipality of Xylokastro and Evrostina

I'm not into writing reviews, but had to for this place. We haven't regret for driving 20km from our apartment in one way to try nice and fresh fish. Because of small child we decided to pickup food. My wife had tuna (check size on picture) and I took squid. Tuna was just extraordinary, huge recommendation, gentle crisp outside, soft abd juicy inside, on first look i was sure that we got steak 😁 squid was really big and juicy, marinade was amazing for both dishes. On top of that we had 1x Greek Salad for both of us (one is enough for 2). Owner was really friendly, we got bottle of local wine and some garlic sauce with fish eggs, which was brutal in combination with hot corn bread. If you love fish food, don't skip this one, we will visit them at least one more time...

I have visited this restaurant many times and on each occasion they never disappoint! I'm a vegetarian, so don't eat fish, however, my husband, family and friends all assure me that the fish dishes are delicious (nóstimo), well prepared and fresh and there are plenty of tasty and varied vegetarian options. The portion sizes are extremely generous and the atmosphere allows you hours to enjoy them. The owner, Ilias, is very friendly and welcoming, along with his family, they all work very hard to make the whole dining experience a pleasure. I cannot recommend esperos enough ! We came here two years ago multiple times and could not stop thinking about it so immediately came upon our return. The service and staff are incredible here, everyone is so friendly and accomodating! As for the food, every single dish is absolutely phenomenal! All the food is cooked to perfection in a delicious glaze. Notable highlights are the prawns, sardines, tuna, and grilled calamari. Some of the best seafood in the Peloponnese without a doubt!
