This was by far the best complete meal we’ve had in Paros! Just a short drive north of Santa Maria beach you will find this over 30 year old family owned restaurant to be a wonderful taste of what local Greek people have to offer. We started with a 250ml of Souma, a must try if you enjoy liquor, as our drinks. Our appetizers consisted of the steamed mussels in ouzo, fried zucchini balls, and beetroot salad in garlic (ask for some vinegar to pour over the beets). The mussels were extremely flavorful, zucchini balls were light and melted in your mouth, and the beets were as fresh as I’ve ever had. For our main course we had stuffed tomatoes and peppers and the seafood risotto. I’ve never had a stewed tomato that tasted so good. And the seafood risotto is full of octopus, squid, shrimp, mussels, and fish. It’s a flavor explosion you will not want to pass up. Then we finished dinner with a traditional Greek yogurt and honey dessert that was so silky and smooth it will make you never want to eat Greek yogurt from the store ever again. I paid the bill with a credit card and spoke to one of the sisters who ran the restaurant. I asked her all about the restaurant and told her this was the best meal we had on the island. She was very appreciative of us coming and I highly recommend you give this...
Read moreVisited twice this on my Paros trip. Have mixed feelings about the food and service. As vegetarian the place has plenty to offer but depending what you order you might leave hungry. First visit I had cooked vegetables and chicpeastew and the stew was delicious. I paid total 18,50€ with water and bread and left full. The other visit I ordered eggplant with tomatosauce as warm platter and fried shrips with salad. I got cold platter of smashed eggplant with one tomato and onions. The fried shrips were 5 pieces and included 3 slices of cucumber and small bowl of rice (?) I think. I was still hungry after that but the servants weren’t even willing to serve or clear the table so once I got their attention I decided to leave. This meal with small glass of house wine and bread was 25,50€. The staff is kind and the place is nice. Still the second visit...
Read moreI have been recommended this place by our local guide. Unfortunately the overall experience wasn’t that great as expected. But mainly driven by the rude and arrogant attitude of the waiters. Also the language barrier must have played an important role. The food was average good but not excellent. The salad with boiled vegetables was very good. The grilled cuttlefish very simple yet fresh and tasty. The moussaka was good but a little cold in the middle, which was ok since it’s very hot weather however it makes think that could have been frozen or kept in the fridge for long time. It gave us a very wrong impression. The baby goat in lemon and beer was good but the rice was very salty. And the plate was missing...
