Title: A Disappointing Experience

I recently dined at this restaurant during my trip to Greece, and I must say it was a rather disappointing experience. While I had high hopes for a taste of authentic Greek cuisine, several aspects left me unsatisfied.

Food Quality: The food quality was not up to par. The dishes we ordered lacked the freshness and flavors that are typically associated with Greek cuisine. Some of the ingredients seemed subpar, and it had a negative impact on our overall dining experience.

Unpleasant Aftermath: Unfortunately, after dining here, my companions and I experienced digestive issues for several days. This certainly raised concerns about the food preparation and hygiene standards at the restaurant.

Service: To add to our disappointment, the service was also below expectations. When we raised our concerns about the food quality, the staff's response was not very polite. We expected a more understanding and customer-friendly approach, especially given the issues we faced.

Billing Concerns: To our surprise, the staff insisted that we pay for the entire meal, even though we chose to leave before the rest of our order was served due to the food quality and our discomfort. This added to our frustration and left a sour taste in our mouths, both figuratively and literally.

In conclusion, my visit to this restaurant was far from enjoyable. I would caution anyone planning to dine here to be cautious about the food quality, potential digestive issues, and the level of service they can expect. It's essential for the restaurant to address these concerns to provide a better experience for...

We have been at Dimitra's tavern in Aug 2017 with friends and kids, and enjoyed very much this place. The owner and her lovely daughter Elsa (who speaks Greek, English, French and German, and who was helping the family during her vacation) were very friendly and made our stay even more enjoyable. The garden, with grapevine, olive trees and some cradles for children, is also very nice and allows kids to play and run freely. We also enjoyed the delicious grapes hanging above our heads on the terrace. And the food was very good! We spent there maybe three hours or more (as we caught a strong rain), but we enjoyed every moment of it! And we would definitely...

Dimitra is very friendly and serves you herself. The garden is nice. We went on a Sunday evening towards the end of September and were disappointed by the food. Many dishes were not available (fish and seafood), and only two salads were available. What we did have was fine but you can’t say so much about Greek salad and french fries. I personally found the fried zucchini to be too greasy but my family liked them. We ordered Moussaka but it never arrived. I understand it was end of season but it probably would have been better to tell us there was no choice and we could have gone somewhere else (we had already had our first drink by the time we...

We passed by on our way back to Thessaloniki. Super cute country side restaurant. Dimitra (the owner) has been extraordinarily kind and nice to us, we were the only guests that night, and got the chance to chat with her a bit. Before we ordered fresh fish was delivered and we ate the catch of the day, 14€/Person for an incredibly fresh full fish, and all other prices very fair. Salads and Vegetables straight from her huge garden. Great conversation with Dimitra, some great local Tsiporo/Liquors, fantastic 'Greek mom food' restaurant (although her son is the chef). For us it was a true Greek experience, the attitude, the taste, the authenticity.

Dimitria and her son made our stay in Greece so memorable, we dined with them twice and were blown away at the hospitality, we felt like part of the family. We messaged before taking our trip as it was mid October and many places are closing for the winter but they stayed open just for us so we had the place to ourselves! The atmosphere was so welcoming and we loved her delicious meals. Everywhere we went in Greece the hospitality was really great but Dimitria's is a cut above. I've no doubt we will return. Thanks again Dimitria! Xxx
