Would not recommend...not sure why we stopped but we end up here for something on the way back from Fiskardo to Lourdas. Very poor food and mixed service. First the food - we ordered starters of courgette fritters and giant beans, with mains of chicken schnitzel (for me), and chicken burgers (for my wife). The giant beans were actually quite nice. The courgette fritters were poor, with a very floury taste. My main of schnitzel was really poor. There were two pieces of chicken, with vastly different thicknesses, so part of one was incredibly overcooked and like boot leather, and the other wasn't really a schnitzel as it was too thick. The chicken burgers were dreadful, very wet with a strange flavour, and no real texture. We had a lot of leftover chicken burger, but happily the nearest cat seemed to like it. This place is incredible! We came here based on a recommendation and it did not disappoint. The food was, hands down, the best we've had on the entire island. We tried several dishes and everything was a winner - fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. You can tell they use high-quality ingredients and put a lot of love into their creations.
The service was just as amazing. The family that runs the restaurant is so friendly and welcoming. They made us feel right at home and were happy to answer any questions we had about the menu.
And let's not forget the beer! It was perfectly chilled, just what you need on a hot island day.
Overall, this is a fantastic restaurant that deserves all the praise. If you're looking for a delicious, authentic, and family-friendly dining experience, this is the...
Read moreWe loved it here! We sat in the cool shade of their patio for lunch. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Which is always surprising since it’s so close to the most touristic beach on the island. My two friends both had the Kefalonia Meat Pie, and they agreed that it was freshly made and tasty. I’m a vegetarian so I had the spaghetti with tomato sauce. We shared a Greek salad and the vegetables were juicy and tasty, and the feta cheese was fresh. We shared the fried courgette, and they were so good. The batter puffed up in the cooking / fryer so they were light and delicious. Excellent service. I can highly recommend if you are driving through town or heading down to Myrtos Beach. Free and easy street parking nearby. Oh - and they gave us mini ice creams as a free dessert. Nice way to...
