Excellent service and food. This is a long review but you will be able to understand the great service we experienced! Highly recommended!!

We were in Sami and had seen good reviews about this restaurant on tripadvisor and decided to go here for dinner. Unfortunately when we arrived we were told that there were no available seats as the restaurant was fully booked. We then walked up to the grill restaurant down the road and after experiencing terrible customer service there we left and came back to the restaurant to see if any tables had become available. We explain to the waitress about what had happened and although no tables had become available, she offered us takeaway and when we said no to take away she then offered us some drinks.

As we were in the area again on Sunday we decided to try and get a table which we did and we are very glad that we did. We arrived at 6:15 p.m. and were met by a lady who spoke very little English but we managed to communicate with her via Google Translate. After about 10 minutes another guest came to us and explained that the lady is waiting for the owners of the restaurant to arrive, but because she doesn't speak English she had asked him to see if we wanted any drinks, In order to make sure we were being looked after.

After another couple of minutes the owners arrived and came straight to our table to take our order. The food arrived quickly and it was so delicious especially the chicken souvlaki and the courgette balls. The presentation was nothing less than amazing. We stumbled upon this restaurant while looking for another and didn't realise it wasn't our original destination until we sat down.

We were greeted by friendly staff who found us a table and shows us the brilliant menu. It's a meat eaters dream, but enough appetizers and sides for even the fussiest vegetarian (that would be myself). We were given a large dish of herby and olive oil toasted bread while we waited. The lamb thigh, meatballs and pork all were perfectly cooked and seasoned with massive portions. The baked feta and lettuce salad is enough for 2/3 people. Drinks are cheap, cold and refreshing.

The restaurant was full of locals and you can definitely see why. If you have a car it's well worth the short trip outside of Sami.

For 4 mains, table water and a round of drinks it was under €60. Definitely...

Прочла восторженные отзывы об этой таверне. Поужинали с мужем. Не совсем поняла восторги. Салат из помидоров - нормальный вкусный, как во многих других местах, ничего особенного. Порция козлятины на гриле- жёсткая до невозможности. Просто несъедобная. Чипсы, что были поданы вместе с мясом , не хрустящие, не горячие, скорее всего разогретые. Шарики из кабачков на гриле - действительно вкусные. Бутылка воды, которую подают автоматически, без просьбы, включается в счёт, даже если вы её не открывали. Впрочем, возможно, если бы мы сказали изначально, что вода не нужна - её бы нам не оставили. Ну кто ж знал... В общем, моё мнение: нормально, но не более того. Есть места получше. Не стоило поездки. Допускаю, что у них есть более вкусные блюда в меню, и нам просто не повезло. קראתי ביקורות נלהבות על טברנה זו. אכלתי ארוחת ערב עם בעלי. לא כל כך הבנתי את ההתרגשות. סלט עגבניות - טעים רגיל כמו בהרבה מקומות אחרים, שום דבר מיוחד. מנה של בשר עיזים על הגריל קשה עד בלתי אפשרית. פשוט בלתי אכיל. הצ'יפס שהוגש עם הבשר לא פריך, לא חם, סביר להניח שהוא מחומם. כדורי קישואים בגריל הם ממש טעימים. בקבוק מים, המוגש אוטומטית, בלי לבקש, ייכנס לחשבון, גם אם לא פתחתם אותו. יתכן שאם היינו אומרים בתחילה שאין צורך במים, לא היו משאירים לנו. נו, מי ידע... באופן כללי, דעתי: בסדר, אבל לא יותר מזה. יש מקומות טובים יותר. לא היה שווה את הנסיעה. אולי יש להם מנות יותר טעימות בתפריט, ופשוט לא...
