Katigiorgis Blue Taverna Fish & Grill — Restaurant in South Pilio Municipality

We love this place! Flisvos tavern is up and running every summer since 1923. Three generations and the tradition is still alive.

Here one can enjoy variety of fresh fish, delicious meze treats from sea to accompany your tsipouro or wine, and the famous Kakavia fish soup that travelers and locals come to taste from Skiathos, Volos and nearby villages. Except for that, there is a plethora of grilled meat, daily cooked dishes and omelets. The service is pleasant and friendly and the prices are ok.

Tip: come early for breakfast, catch/call the sea-taxi to Skiathos (10 min ride) to explore the beautiful beaches of the island. Return back to Flisvos for dinner by the sea (ask for Stamatis or Dimos to show you the catch of the day). Before leaving take with you a bottle of extra virgin olive oil (Ladim) made by them, it will be the most delicious souvenir...

Am ajuns întâmplător aici, în cadrul unei croaziere în jururul insulei Sliatos cu vasul "La Lalaria". Mai exact, după ce am plecat de la "Kastro" știam ca va urma o pauza de masa la o taverna situata pe partea de nord a insulei. Dar, când am văzut ca vasul se îndreaptă spre continent, uimit fiind, am aflat de la unul dintre mateloti ca am schimbat destinația și ne îndreptăm spre Liri. Nu știam nimic despre acest port înainte sa acostam. Încă de pe mare am văzut ca este vorba despre un mic port cu o plaja liniștită, complet neamenajata, pe care sunt vreo 3 taverne, un beach bar și un market. Ajunși la țărm, unde urma sa rămânem 90 min. ne-am îndreptat spre prima taverna - Flisvos, unde aveam de gând sa ne răcorim, fără sa ne dorim sa mâncăm. Însă, ospătarul ne-a schimbat perspectiva când a recomandat o dorada la grătar, garantând ca nu este vorba de peste congelat. Astfel am ajuns sa luam dorada, o porție de costițe de miel tot la grătar și o salata greceasca... pentru... digestie🤣 Plus nelipsitul meu expresso... Mâncarea a sosit rapid și a fost delicioasa... Totul a costat 28 euro și ni s-a părut un preț corect. Porțiile nu sunt exagerat de mari, dar suficiente... Nu pot însă să nu remarc faptul ca în tavernele grecești servesc invariabil cartofi prăjiți... Nici o alta varietate de cartofi. Dar asta nu este neapărat problema taverne în cauza. Si... Astfel, în mai puțin de 90 au reușit sa sature cel puțin 50 de oameni aduși cu vaporașul nostru. Recomand taverna, cu toate ca pare improbabil sa mai ajungă cineva acolo, pentru ca nu este o destinație uzuala pentru vasele de croaziera, iar pe de alta parte este situata pe o plaja micuța, nu foarte ofertanta...

Yesterday we went on a boattour around Skiathos Island and from there we went to Katigiorgis Harbour to get some food. We are so glad we went to Taverna Flisvos! The food is amazing! It’s very much worth to go inside and have a look at the fresh fish from the day! We had a combination of fresh fish, and fish dishes from the menu and it was all so very very tasty! The waiters are extremely friendly and attentive! After we left, we made sure we wrote down where it was, so we can come back there somewhere...
