The Square — Restaurant in Thassos Municipality

Authentic Greek taverna, far from the more crowded and touristic ones on the beaches around the island or more (already) popular villages like Theologist. I think this is one of the few unspoilt (by tourism) places left on the island. Not crowded, almost no cars thanks to narrow streets, many locals.

The food...is geek food. 10/10. The service? If you are not in a hurry, you will love it. If you are in a hurry than you shouldn't have come to Greece in the first place. I love you guys! Prices? Affordable, normal. You don't spend a fortune to eat a dinner.

Maybe I shouldn't have wrote this review. Now hordes of people shall come...and all the magic will be lost.

O experienta puțin ciudata. Am încercat sa luam cina aici de 3 ori, fiind cazati în sat. Prima seara a fost totul ok,voie bună, mâncare bine gatita,atmosferă plăcută, liniște! A doua seara era ceva eveniment( probabil )caci aveau ceva rezervări,iar noi pentru ca nu am avut rezervare nu ne-au putut primi deși domnișoara ne-a rugat sa așteptăm 10 min sa vadă ce pot face pentru noi. A treia seara ne-am conformat cu rezervarea dar atitudinea oribila a șefului ( fiul) și mâncarea gătită prost ( carnea de la souvlaki de porc aproape cruda la 4 persoane ) ne-a pus capac . Am cerut porție extra de cartofi și ne-au zis ca se va întârzia cu ei ,căci au prea multe comenzi .Am înțeles și renunțat la cerință. Însă ne-am simțit ca și cum noi eram în plus și deranjam comunitatea . La grecii locali porțiile de carne erau bine gătite și păreau și mai generoase în cantitate. Domnișoara ospătărița foarte draguta dar puțin depășită de situație și singura care si-a cerut scuze pentru nefericita experienta trăită la ei... Per ansamblu,...

They add you to the bill something that you didn’t order. They bring you water and bread that you say that you dont want to and even if you say so they put it back but still add you to the check. I understand that they think tourists are stupid but have in mind that this is not our first dinner in restaurant, we know how...
