So my 2024.07 opinion about Garden is heaven: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 **Garden of Heaven** If you're looking for a culinary paradise, look no further than Garden of Heaven! 🌿✨ This gem of a restaurant truly lives up to its name, offering an unforgettable dining experience. This is what u need, family run place, with traditional cousins, and I will bet u, u won't stay hungry! The appetizer s are delicious also! Must try the stuffed mushroom, and the grill feta! U won't regret! 🍷 **House Wine**: Their house wine is simply amazing! Every sip is a delightful journey, complementing the flavors of the food perfectly. It's a must-try for any wine enthusiast. And here is more! This wines,. The semi sweet red and the dry red is the !!!BEST !!!! WHAT I HAD TASTE ON THIS ISLAND! Around 25 euro a bottle? Guys... u got sh××××t for that money all on the island..... But this two red.... it's 🙏🙏🙏WORTH WAY MORE🙏🙏🙏. We first have to start with the winding mountain road up to the tavern, I know we are in Greece but it kind of reminds you of some Italian road. As soon as you walk to the tavern you will be greeted by beautiful rows of tomatoes on your right side. The staff will greet and serve you with a smile. Here you will find traditional cooking made with passion. We tried only local food and it tasted wonderful. The view is amazing, try to be there to see the town during sunset before the sparkling lights of the towns appear in the evening. Do not forget to ask for their homemade semi dry red wine which has a wonderful floral taste. And ALWAYS pet the tavern dog 😍

Excellent place to taste traditional Greek food. This restaurant is one of the few gems in Zakynthos that actually serve home-cooked, Greek traditional food, and it tastes delicious. The cherry on top is the incredible view from your table. It’s called The Garden of Heaven for a reason - a must have!

Nice Taverna with great views and very nice stew!

BUT Animals (specially cats) are not having the best time in the island. Since there were cats around the place, it means that they were not well treated by the owners since they did not take any action to avoid their suffering. Such cats only survive for a few months (that’s why you only see young cats around) and once no tourists are around, they will starve and only a few will make it to the next season. Therefore, I give one single star even though the service was great but they did not do their duties for the poor animals that were around. Ωραίο μέρος με ωραία θέα αλλά δυστυχώς το φαγητό πολύ μέτριο και πολύ ακριβό για αυτό που προσφέρει. Εσείς που γράφετε τόσο άριστες κριτικές, πραγματικά έχω την απορία αν μαγειρεύετε καθόλου στο σπίτι σας. Εμείς πάντως το κάνουμε και προερχόμενοι από οικογένειες με καταγωγή τη Σμύρνη και τη Κωνσταντινούπολη, κάτι γνωρίζουμε. Τέλος πάντων, πρώτο φάουλ από τα "αποδυτήρια" για μένα ήταν και η μουσική υπόκρουση.Βρισκόμαστε σε ένα απομακρυσμένο όμορφο ορεινό χωριουδάκι σε έναν όμορφο κήπο ενός παραδοσιακού πέτρινου σπιτιού...τι τα θέλεις τα σαξόφωνα και τα jazz blues άνθρωπε μου? Βάλε μια ωραία παλιά ελληνική μουσικούλα! Το προσωπικό φιλικό δε μπορώ να πω, αλλά ίσως λίγο παραπάνω ομιλητικό και στη δική μας περίπτωση, υπερβολικά καθοδηγητικό. Φταίμε βέβαια κι εμείς που εμπιστευτήκαμε τις προτάσεις τους. Λέμε να παραγγείλουμε ένα παστίτσιο(14€), λαμβάνουμε απάντηση "Παστίτσιο θα φας εδώ? Πάρε κάτι άλλο...Πάρε κόκορα κρασάτο(18€)", Λέμε ΟΚ για να το προτείνει θα είναι καλό. Λέμε να παραγγείλουμε μια μοσχαρίσια σπαλομπριζόλα(22€), λαμβάνουμε απάντηση "Μπριζόλα θα φας εδώ? Πάρε κάτι άλλο...Πάρε βετούλι(κοκκινιστό κατσίκι)(19€)"Λέμε ΟΚ για να το προτείνει θα είναι καλό. Ρωτάω αν έχουν δικό τους χύμα κρασί, λαμβάνω απάντηση ναι έχουμε αλλά το εμφιαλώνουμε για να μη χαλάσει (18-20€ το μπουκάλι το φθηνότερο)Πονηριές! Και τα δύο πιάτα ήταν πολύ μέτρια. Ο κόκορας ίσως λίγο καλύτερος από το κατσίκι. Το πιάτο με τον κόκορα ήταν σε ικανοποιητική ποσότητα, όμως το κρέας ήταν αρκετά στεγνό και αδιάφορο γευστικά. Το πιάτο με το κατσίκι ήταν 6-7 μικρά κομματάκια αρκετά σκληρού κρέατος αγνώστου προελεύσεως, που μάλλον ήθελε καμία ώρα ακόμη μαγείρεμα, τα μισά κόκκαλα και κλέπες, μαζί με μια χούφτα πατάτες τηγανιτές. Εντάξει όχι για 19€ αλλά ούτε για 9€. Χωριάτικη σαλάτα(10-11€) πολύ μέτρια σε ποσότητα και γεύση, χωρίς να ικανοποιεί τις προσδοκίες που έχεις αντικρίζοντας τον όμορφο λαχανόκηπο με πλούσιες ντοματιές στην είσοδο του κτήματος. Δύο άτομα κοντά στα 90€ για μια πολύ μέτρια εμπειρία. Δυστυχώς...
