We chose to go to this restaurant based on the reviews and we are so glad we did. The modern interior decor is fantastic, comfortable and with two huge picture windows affording a view of the mountains. The service is second to none, really friendly, helpful, smiling and generous. We asked the waiter to choose the wine for each course, he really does know his stuff and as a consequence were introduced to two fine Greek wines that we will now search out for home - on a par with anything the French, Spanish or Italians produce and which complimented each dish perfectly. A classic Italian salad for starters was absolutely perfect and extremely generous as was the goat cheese pastel, covered in sesame seeds served with perfectly crunchy pan fried prosciutto and a dressing I'd have licked off the plate had the better half not stopped me. I then had a shrimp home-made linguini pasta served with an incredibly tasty sauce, the pasta cooked to aldente perfection and presented like a work of art. I can safely say the best shrimp pasta I've ever had the pleasure to eat. A carbonara pizza from their wood fired oven and chef is simply indescribably delicious, and so generous we ended up with a doggy bag for a huge breakfast today. Never been to this place before and no interest to declare, stunned by the value for money and knowing that the same meal of this high quality in northern Europe would have been five times what we paid makes me recommend this place unreservedly. Ioannina has, so far, proved to be a foodies paradise, incredibly high standards, stiff competition and even bearing that in mind iValori Osteria is a must if you enjoy your grub. Can't wait to...
Read moreFor so many years in Ioannina I wanted to come and always changed my mind (big mistake after all) we talking about one of the best Italian I have ever tried and definitely the best in the city. Amazing atmosphere, although the location does not help at all (on the street) as the music is perfect and the place is beautiful 5/5*. Polite and prompt service 5/5*. Now let's get to the food, we started with the appetizer pasteli with goat cheese amazing and with the honey they tied extreme 4.8/5* and it is definitely recommended for a try. The salad with burrata was the only unpleasant dish not because it was not tasty or good. The burrata was juicy and the sauce amazing but the cherry tomatoes were not so good I don't know if they were stale (I don't think so) or too overcooked, however if they were crispy the dish would get more stars 4/5*. The "country" pizza was rich in ingredients and delicious with a great cooking 4.8/5*. The rigatoni with pesto was very well cooked since the pasta was al tente and the basil was fresh 4.9/5*. The pappardelle with mushrooms was probably the best dish and the one that will get 5/5* and definitely the one I will order again the next time that i will visit this place. Finally, the tiramisu had very nice savagiare with notes of coffee, the cream was a little weak, I think they need to change something in this dish 3.8/5*. In general, the restaurant is amazing if it were somewhere in the central of the city it would have been the FIRST choice. Overall 4.8/5* unreservedly...
Read moreValori in Ioannina is a true gem that blends authentic Italian flavors with a touch of elegance and Greek quality ingredients. From the moment you sit down, you feel the passion for food and detail in every dish. We started with the Caesar salad, and it was delicious. Crisp, fresh romaine tossed in a creamy dressing, topped with flakes and corn. The Carbonara was pure indulgence. Thick, al dente pasta coated in a silky sauce of eggs. Every bite had that balance of richness and peppery bite that true carbonara should have, comforting, hearty, and beautifully executed. And then came the pizza, a masterpiece straight from their wood-fired oven. The dough was light yet chewy, with a gorgeous char on the crust that gave it a rustic flavor. The toppings, fresh vegetables, Italian meats, and creamy cheese, melted together in perfect harmony. Each slice was a reminder of why pizza, when done right, is pure art. Valori is more than just a restaurant; it’s an experience. The atmosphere is modern yet warm, the service attentive, and the food unforgettable. A must-visit in Ioannina for anyone who loves authentic Italian cuisine with a...
