So much to say about this place....it is absolutely wonderful. The warm and cozy atmosphere, smell of freshly baked goods...it makes you never want to leave this place. The owners are some of the most wonderful people you'll ever meet. Even the most simple cookies will melt in your mouth and the pastries with cheese will warm you up with joy. The sourdough bread is to die for. It was a goal of mine to visit this beautiful gem and I had tears when I had to leave. I will definitely be back again. Truly the best bakery in the world! We stopped for bread but ended up in a conversation that lasted about half an hour on the politics of Greece and the tension post civil war in Greece! We learnt so much from Kostas who treated us with such hospitality and warmth - we are truly grateful! We loved the chocolate croissant and the sesame bread and also the bacon and cheese bread we ordered. Come here for a local experience (minus the language barrier too, since Kostas and his wife Anna can speak English well). Thanks Kostas for your kindness! We did a fantastic cooking experience at the bakery. The drive from Ioannina was a delight as well. We were made so welcome and the fact we were very early was no problem at all. The smell greets you from the street and the array of bread and sweet and savoury treats is impressive. We made sourdough bread and left is rising for the next day’s production, we made a pie with local greens and feta, a savoury Yorkshire pudding with feta and we made some sweet coconut filo.
