GuatePan Bakery — Restaurant in Hamilton Township

I stopped by GuatePan hoping for breakfast, but unfortunately learned (only after arriving) around 1045-11am that this particular location doesn’t serve it. It wasn’t clearly marked anywhere on the Google maps entry, so that was a bit of a letdown. While not a total loss, the options were limited—especially if you were hoping for something savory.

That said, I gave the tres leches cake a try. At first bite, it was just okay, but as I kept going, it genuinely grew on me. By the last bite, I had to admit: I was a fan. Rich, creamy, and just the right level of sweet—definitely the highlight...

Beware if you don’t speak Spanish! The lady didn’t speak English at all (or pretended to not know), she charged us $20 for 2 pandebonos, 2 small muffins and a pound cake! We thought it was very costly but was having a hard time communicating with her, outrages price for baked goods! I went home and checked their price on their take out platform and realized that I was probably being lied to and scammed! Horrible...

Very attractive establishment. I was in the area visiting the Grounds for Sculpture, and found this delightful bakery. I had what turned out to be a huge Madeline with extraordinarily delicious vanilla interior. If I ever return to Hamilton, New Jersey, I will visit them again and stock up for home. Spanish-speaking employees, but at least one speaks English...
