Extremely disappointing spring rolls. During my stay in Xela I ended up eating here about five times, trying the chicken teriyaki, chicken curry, Mongolian ribs, and… very unfortunately… the spring rolls.
I did enjoy the chicken teriyaki. The sauce is pretty good without being too sweet, and they do a good job cooking the meat. But this is the only dish I’d go get again. When I had the curry it was too watery and lacked flavor. When I had the ribs they were dry and seemed like they’d been sitting around for a while, or maybe they were freezer-burned or something. I don’t know, but they weren’t good.
The spring rolls, or what they call spring rolls, are the main reason I’m writing this review however. They are basically a bundle of sloppily cut raw vegetables thrown on a rice wrap and rolled. And as if the thick-cut, very un-spring-roll-like raw vegetable mix isn’t bad enough, they don’t even take the time to tuck in the edges before rolling. Read moreThe food was really good and fair price. I don't know why there are so many bad reviews. This was my first time ordering Asian food since being in Australia where I get alot of good Asian food. Very yummy satay chicken and rice paper rolls and dumplings are good too. I normally go for chicken ramen but the waiter recommended the beef and it was the most amazing beef I've had in ramen. So tasty. My freind never tried Asian food and he loved it. Will totally be coming back here. Omg the eggs were really good too!
Update** I got the free porción of meat thank you so much it was so delicious 😋
Got the Mongolian ribs and omg so good as well. Love this place,...
Read moreFun experience, cute place, lots of options to try....would recommend going with a few people to share different dishes...I hoped to try more but became full too fast as the portions are generous. For entrada had the Plato mezclada, appetizer combo. My favorite was the chicken satay skewers with peanut sauce. Then we shared beef ramen (I used to work in a 5 star ramen house, it wasn't that, but it was very delicious. Ask for spicy chili sauce!) The costilla marinada was very satisfying- juicy and saucy, we added chili sauce and some of the extra sauce left over from the combo appetizer plate. Yummy) 20q wine is great too!...
