My mom and I came and had a wonderful experience! John explained the history, usages, properties, and processes of cacao-we learned so much more than we ever expected and he showed us every aspect of the cacao and let us try it at every stage-as a fresh fruit, as a liquor, as a roasted bean (we roasted and peeled the cacao beans, were given the roasted skins to make cacao tea), as a nib (we used a traditional Mayan mortar and pestle to grind our cacao), and as a chocolate caliente and a cacao paste. The quality of the demonstration, energy and ambience, along with a personal experience made this tour one of the best experiences we had in Antigua. We enjoyed ourselves throughly and highly recommend this tour to visitors-you won’t be disappointed. Top notch family business!

Lovely little bakery with friendly service. Many delicious artisan products: jams, chocolates and liqueurs. The owner introduced us the process of making cocoa and we made our own cocoa drink from scratch, i.e. roasted beans.

Best place ever!! The staff there are incredible! So knowledgeable and giving of there time and expertise. They showed us how to make the cocoa from scratch and then let us do it. Can’t wait to go back!!!

My husband and I stopped here on the recommendation of our guide. Marcos gave us an amazing and comprehensive tour with degustations of many stages of the cocoa/chocolate process. He took his time, let us learn and in the end had given us an amazing presentation! We had stopped at another place earlier for a coffee presentation that also included cocoa and we enjoyed this much more! The cocoa rum was delicious and we loved the loquat lotion as...

Great place. The "Amarilla" Burger, which the buns are made out of carrot, was delicious. Buns had great flavor, the meat and special in the house sauce made out of garlic, and some other stuff had perfect taste. The traditional plate- Pepian had one of the best juice which is called "recado" was one of the best I tasted in all Guatemala. Great...
