My whole experience at vistas was phenomenal. I have celiac disease, the woman who served us was extremely polite, was so so patient and went above and beyond. I made her aware of my disease and she continued to tell me what would be missing from my meal and what would be in its place. She also read the syrups to ensure there was no gluten( I didn’t ask, I didn’t even think about it and yet this woman checked). I really appreciate how accommodating vistas is. We had a table of four which included a toddler, he spilt his drink, the staff at vistas didn’t get annoyed. They simple offered him a new drink. Vistas had an unfortunate short power outage, staff instantly apologized to customers and offered those who had ordered coffee, a cold drink (free). I have to say I will be making vistas a weekly ritual ❤️

UPDATE 15/4/24: It doesn’t say this anywhere (there’s no website?) but the kitchen closes at 3pm sharp. Not too sure why they bother staying open till 5pm just to sell a few cups of tea and coffee.

UPDATE 17/2/23: Vistas is thriving under its new ownership. Better ingredients seemingly, better chefs, better waiting staff all mean Vistas is better than it has ever been. Prices remain reasonable. All the old menu favourites are mostly still there - but bring back the bucket of fried fish please! - and a few more modern dishes too. As a result, it’s always pretty busy even on weekdays. No bookings taken, walk-ins only.

Original review: A west coast institution for breakfast and lunch with a big (and busy) car park right next door. Good coffee and cakes too. Not open in...

The food is really nice, cheap, and quick, and the wait times don't tend to be that bad, but it's usually quite busy and your not allowed to reserve a spot so you have to go at a time when you can get a seat. While they do have a decent selection of food it's mostly chippie food so don't expect a full course meal. The atmosphere is also quite nice and it's next to the beach so its perfect for a quick meal. Overall would recommend. The reason this is 4 stars and not 5 is because there are no proper food and my calamari was a bit chewy and my fries weren't crispy enough.

I live in Guernsey, so came here with my Macaw, Mika for a Sunday coffee and cake. We sat outside as not everyone wants to be around my feathered companion but the staff are welcoming and pleased to see us and people come and say hi on our outings. The view is lovely with parking right next door so if you want a nice walk or beach visit then it's a great cafe to stop by for lunch too. Mocha and carrot cake went down a dream with both of us!
