Oh my gosh, this is heaven. We are from the US, but have been here four times over the past 5 or 6 years. New owners have been our hosts during the past 2 visits. The menu and food quality is just as good as before. We hike in from St Peter Port. The scones with clotted cream and jam are just perfect. And the coffee, oh so good. I'll have to admit, that the goal of our most recent trip was just to return to the beautiful sea views and those scones. At least, the long hike burns off those calories. Of course, if you have a car, you can just drive. I'm glad it's 5,000 miles away, otherwise I'd overindulge.

Read moreWe took our time on the walk down from St Peter Port and took over two and a half hours but I have also done the walk around the cliff path in around 90 minutes.
Once there, the comment "probably the nest located tea room, ever" came to mind. Sheltered from the wind but with a superb view over the bay. Well kept gardens and plenty of Renoir references.
Crab sandwiches were gorgeous. Coffee quantity was a bit disappointing and the crisps provided with the sandwich were poor, but I forgive them everything for the setting and the view.
