Tze char taste is not too bad, but the price is too high, won’t consider it as my first option if I’m looking for a Tze char stall. And the drinks stall? I didn’t know it was under the same organisation, it is no wonder that the attitude of the staff members are all the same, from the Tze char stall to the drinks stall. Talk to customers in a rude tone, unfriendly body language, put on a frown and look impatient all the time. I’ve been patronising this drinks stall for the past 3 years or more, and not a single staff member deserves to be praised. All of them have a bad attitude, it’s like they’re underpaid or what? Today’s staff member was a China/Vietnam lady, who looked angry, and she was frowning the whole time we were there. The other day it was a chubby lady with buck tooth, whose attitude is so bad you’d think she is either severely underpaid/forced to work here. Drinks are so expensive , it’s $2.10 for a takeaway cup teh Peng (as seen below). When I could get the exact same drink in a cup as well for $1.80 elsewhere. Today’s Teh Peng tastes funny too. šŸ‘ŽšŸ¼šŸ‘ŽšŸ¼šŸ‘ŽšŸ¼šŸ‘ŽšŸ¼ Avoid or patronise? It’s up to you

As I travel around Singapore during my work, Japanese Bento is one of my favorite meal. Decided to stop by this food court and ordered a Japanese Teriyaki Chicken Fried Ebi Bento at this Japanese Korean stall. I was shocked when my Bento was ready. What I received was a spicy fried chicken with lots of onions instead of the usual teriyaki chicken, kimchi instead of the japanese vegetable, normal white rice instead of the japanese rice. Only the Ebi, mayo sauce is correct. I pointed to the picture on the menu and asked the china lady why she gave me spicy fried chicken with onion when I ordered teriyaki chicken. She insisted that it's correct. I asked her does she understand what is written on the menu, she couldn't even tell me and even insisted it's correct. I told her that i travel around Singapore daily and eat this Japanese Bento (2nd photo is the correct bento) in many food courts, and this is the worst japanese bento (1st photo) make by this china lady.

The prawn paste chicken is a must try, light on the batter and the star of the dish is the prawn paste marinade, it's well coated and goes well with either sambal chilli or green chilli. $10 for 7pcs The claypot tofu is also a must try, at $10 for the small size portion (there's medium and large ones too), it has egg toufu, prawn, yam, cabbage, egg whites and also roasted pork all brought together with the starchy sauce, which tastes good and goes very well with white rice. Other dishes popular are namely the fish head soup and also the tofu in minced meat sauce. Another dish worth the mention would be it's hor fun and also the fried rice selection :)

DECENT SHARKS FIN, DELIVERY PROCESS CAN BE IMPROVED

If you are craving some Sharks Fin Soup in the north look no further. This place serves decent sharks fin (having ordered through trial and error with many other stores in the north). I would recommend ordering the Sharks Fin Soup With Crab Meat via their own website however there is room for improvement in terms of the updating of the progress once you put in the order. I submitted my order at 9:41pm on haizhongbao.sg but the status did not change so I had to call the store to check if my order has been accepted yet as the flow goes like this 1) SUBMITTED 2) ACCEPTED 3) PREPARING 4) DELIVERY 5) DELIVERED so… my status was stuck at submitted for a good 12 mins until I called up the store and then they went to update it to ā€œacceptedā€. Then the progress report was stuck at ā€œpreparingā€ for a good 40 odd minutes. I had to call the store a second time to check if my order has been dispatched.. all in all my order arrived in 57 minutes from submission mind u I had to call and chase them TWICE to check on my order… although the item is good I have some reservations to reorder (even though I was given a 5% return voucher) because of the lack of initiative in terms of updating the progress of my order… I don’t enjoy having to chase the store TWICE. I wouldn’t have had to call up the store if the staff had been attentive to web orders and updated accordingly. I think Hai Zhong Bao has decent food but it would be a shame to lose customers due to the inattentiveness of staff towards customers’ orders. Basically the progress update went from ā€œPreparingā€ to ā€œDeliveredā€ skipping the ā€œDeliveringā€ part. If I am paying $6.50 for a 8 minute distance delivery I am definitely...
