Amazing sushi and Asian fusion! Wow! This restaurant opened in 2021, during the Covid pandemic. About a month or two before the restaurant opened, we had the owners/chefs come to our home and prepare a several course meal for us, which was out of this world! Now that the restaurant is open, it does not disappoint! The restaurant is in Sandy Bay, a short drive from West End and the Lawson Rock area. Great atmosphere with a beautiful mural on the wall and tasteful decor. Our favorites are the firecracker shrimp, seared tuna over mashed potatoes, tuna roll, Philly roll, and the apple cinnamon egg roll with vanilla ice cream tops off a great meal perfectly! I provided some pics but kept forgetting to take the pictures before we took bites! I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant, the owners/chefs and staff. Sierra was our server this last time and she was such a sweetheart! They also had a cellist playing live music which was awesome! Good drinks, great food and a casual, relaxing atmosphere!

I think this is one of the only sushi places on the island, and I was impressed!! the decor of this place is super cool, murals on every wall. their chairs are really comfortable, like cushions on every seat, and they have about average chopsticks. a lot better than the one use ones I get at home. the food was delicious! we got the sashimi mix to start, 4 rolls, and two poke bowls. extremely fresh and flavourful. I highly recommend the sunny fire or the cangrejo loco if you’re doing rolls, and the poke if you still want fish but you’re not feeling the rolls. the service was excellent, staff was lovely, and if I went to this place in my first week I would be making a second visit.

It is a nice surprise to find a sushi place on this island. The sushi's were good in general. It is worth the try if you are craving for Japanese sushi while being on this island, the only thing is it is quite a drive because it is not near anywhere of the core areas. I deducted a star because the bill had aan additional charge after the tax line of 15%, which is not a tip, and no one could explain what it was.

Insipid would be the perfect word to describe the food we got (Dictionary definition: Wanting in the qualities which affect the organs of taste; without taste or savor; vapid; tasteless.). Ordered off of Hugo. Probably the most expensive disappointing food I've had in Roatan. Everything looked like normal sushi, but food was less impressive once you put it in your mouth. Rolls were bland and all tasted more or less the same. The sashimi, which was salmon and tuna, did not taste fresh and was sort of falling apart. The eggroll apple dessert was reasonable. I would not dine with them again -- especially not at this price point. I expect better sushi from gas stations in the US than I got for this meal. We didn't get sick from the food so there's that...

I am a restaurant owner and have also frequented sushi restaurants for 25 Years in 10 countries. What I can tell you is the sushi taste, freshness and presentation at Dragonfly is amongst the best I have experienced. One of our favorite dishes was the sashimi mix, which is not easy to do well, and the freshness and texture were second to none. The cocktails are full of flavor and character, the desserts will blow you away, the service very personable (we loved Penny) and the ambience relaxing, especially the outdoor balcony. The owners were there and shared with us their inspiring story. Dragonfly has my highest recommendation. We went back two nights in a row. Don’t miss this place if you...
