Look this place is beautiful and I followed the advice of another review and used palmeto which has great food. We walked the 1km over to this beach and had a good half hour but eventually someone came out of the woods to have a conversation...... I do not speak Spanish but I understood the fact he diddnt want us there. We used goggle translate and he told me "my cousin had called him and the masqitos were bad and we need to leave"...... That was a bit odd however Mabey it wasn't translated accurately. Any case he insisted we leave and I was not really in a position to argue this.... He told me he would be right ba k at which point he went back into the jungle and returned with another guy and 2 machetes..... They told me they were going to escort us back to palmetto and to not worry about anything...... They walked us all the way back to palmetto and turned around at the property line telling us sorry several times............. Either case probably not worth the trouble...
Read moreGorgeous isolated beach. And it is accessible. Go the Palmetto resort say you are using the restaurant called the Cove — amazing views and reasonable prices. Then walk down the beach maybe 1 km to Marbella beach. On the way back to the car stop at the Cove and have a snack and drink.
We snorkeled but just over sand and sea grass. The reef is really far out here maybe more than 500 m. We made it about 2/3 of the way and then turned around because it was pretty windy. But water was clear and warm. Come here...
