A real Transylvanian wibe with the right athmosphere and food. You feel like being in a small Transylvanian restaurant or even home at the beginning of the 20th century, but it still doesn't have a rusty or old feeling. Food is excellent if you are looking for traditional Transylvanian dishes. Don't expect modern recipes though. We went here twice, service was excellent the first time but the second time our waiter was in a hurry that was kind of unpleasant for us customers, just taking our additional order looking back while rushing. Not very cheap if you compare it with other places in this region, but average or below average prices compared to Budapest.

We had a nice anniversary dinner with my husband. I ordered the veal liver with vegetables and potato mash, while my husband got two sides of fries with fried chicken. We both enjoyed our meal, and we got the weekly dessert (apple and walnut cake). The atmosphere felt really friendly and traditional. They are dog friendly (let her stay and provide water). Small issues I had were some translations (under the kids menu it translated fries as baked potato, that caused confusion) and the grilled vegetables felt more fried. But both of these are minor, we still had a great time and I recommend giving a visit when you're in the area.

It is said that "Hungarian people do not speak while eating." Like you ended up in a novelle of Móricz, the place is decorated and kept in the traditional Hungarian inn on a countryside. Beautiful and very cozy. Service is friendly, fast, local drinks and food are marvellous! It is not vegan or *-free friendly. But if you want a memorable Hungarian cuisine and folk-experience, you should come here, especially in the evening.

We had an absolutely fantastic experience at Kisvendéglő a Hargitához in Békéscsaba! Everything was top-notch, from the delicious food to the warm and inviting atmosphere. The restaurant truly felt like an authentic Hargita experience in Erdély. The staff were exceptionally kind and friendly. The service was impeccable, and they went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful time. A special thank you to our best friends for showing us this amazing restaurant. I highly recommend this charming place to anyone looking for a delightful dining experience. We will definitely be...
