BARRIO — Restaurant in Budapest

Enjoyable experience. We had the "asado for 2-3 people" and it really delivered. It is a good assortment of meats with vegetables on the side. We also had a marguerita pizza and, not being a "pizza" place, it was very nice and proper "pizzeria" worthy. It is more of an Neapolitan style pizza instead of the argentinian style pizza. My kids loved it and I did too. The bread was also very good, freshly baked. The place has a charming interior and they are also getting a nice and large terrace ready.

Service was on point and made for an excellent lunch. Friendly and professional staff.

Excellent value for money. I will definitely be back.

2023 Update: I've visited Barrio 6 more times. The terrace is lovely. I highly recommend the "empanadas de carne", Choripán, Txuleta and the Ojo de bife was also outstanding. One thing I wish would come back though, is the complementary "aceitunas & encurtidos" I come from Spain and that really made the place feel like home for me, really tasty and goes perfect with a beer. I wish I could rate the restaurant higher, in the past handful of times we have dined here we only had good experiences so we brought guests from out of town to enjoy a good meal together.

Unfortunately we were met with a very strange waiter who did not know what customer service was.. I guess he is Hungarian. In the past we had a Russian waiter and he was always absolutely amazing, so it’s a shame to experience a decrease in the quality of service.

The food was all good except the lobster which was severely overcooked and a desert which tasted off. We did mention this but no attention was paid to that. The steaks are amazing here though.

We dropped around 120k which honestly feels like a waste for our experience there. I left feeling super awkward. I am sad because a restaurant which we really did like is not one I will personally frequent or recommend to others any longer.

I recently dined at this restaurant and was blown away by their Argentine ribeye steak and cheesecake! As a meat lover, I appreciated their focus on meat-based dishes, and they certainly delivered with their succulent and flavorful ribeye steak. Cooked to perfection, each bite was juicy and tender.

Their cheesecake was equally delightful – creamy, rich, and perfectly balanced. It was evident that both the steak and cheesecake were made with high-quality ingredients, and the freshness of the food shone through in every bite.

Aside from the fantastic food, the restaurant's ambiance was top-notch. The interior was beautifully decorated, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Additionally, the presence of a backyard garden added a charming touch to the dining experience.
