Krumpello — Restaurant in Budapest

The first and only stuffed baked potato place in Budapest that’s heavily promoted by influencers on TikTok but has very divided opinions. Despite reading through the negative reviews I gave this place a shot as my friend wanted to try it out. Unfortunately it turned out to be a horrible decision. We tried American and Mexican which tasted okay. The flavors were nothing special, could tell that the ingredients aren’t of high quality and the tomato ketchup sauce was overpowering in the Mexican. If only this was the issue then I would’ve rated this place higher as it could be a question of preference. But the real problems started 2 hours later. Got diarrhea and suffered through the night puking. I was going through exactly what other people wrote in their negative reviews previously. The staff is nice and the atmosphere is great too however I’ll never come here again because that doesn’t compensate for the terrible food. Don’t go there unless you want to risk getting food...

Maybe the first mashed potato place in Hungary. The idea is good the product is also delicious (I asked for the Italian style without cheese due to lactose intolerancy -- there is no lactose free option or compensation to a drink or something?!). Not the biggest portion of food but for a lighter lunch/dinner it is perfect. I was kinda surprised about the skin which is not edible. Don't recomend it. Worst place to eat a backed potato, I ordered Hungarian Krumpello...The potato was like not existing, very small size, only a burned shell, I didn' see the mozarella, some vegetables meaning only peppers plus an oiled souce from peppers which came out from the paper box, no taste, loose of the money.
