hello, we would like to express our sincere disappointment with the given motel. We are long time customers of the motel, always staying there for maybe 10 years. Last night when we arrived with a reservation, first it was not found in the system, it happens, the second thing that puzzled us was the high price of a room. We booked 2 adults and 2 children and had to pay with 35€ on top. We were surprised because last year the price of a room was €50 less. The woman who served us was probably a waitress and said that if we want to pay in euros it is the price for their commission or for foreigners, which is pure discrimination! We asked to speak to the manager, she went into the kitchen, they discussed it and came out and said she was the manager, again strange, why didn't she introduce herself before! We feel lied to and discriminated against! The girl who served us had blonde hair on shift on 27.09 in the evening! Shame on a young family with small children! Read more🏴 We happened to be in the area this evening and thought we’d stop by again, as we have so many fond memories tied to this place. Every time I sit down here, I’m taken aback by the sheer variety and richness of the menu—it truly is impressive. After a lengthy review, we finally managed to make our choices.
However, when I asked our waitress what the difference was between the “Pork Knuckle Bean Goulash” and the “Alföld-style Cauldron Goulash,” she raised her eyebrows and replied, “I don’t understand the question.” In my view, this is not something one should ever say to a guest—an explanation would have been more appropriate. But who am I to say?
The food arrived promptly and we enjoyed our starters. When it came time for the main course, things got a bit muddled. I inquired about the beef dishes and eventually ordered the “Aged Argentine Sirloin Slices.” I then asked whether this was, in fact, an entrecôte. The same waitress confirmed that yes, it was steak, and asked how I’d like it cooked. I requested it medium rare. The mains were served quickly—my partner received a Viennese schnitzel so large it barely fit on the plate.
Unfortunately, I did not receive a steak but rather thin slices of sirloin. This mistake was only corrected some thirty minutes later.
The restaurant itself remains atmospheric, with live music playing throughout the evening and truly generous portions. However, if someone doesn’t enjoy engaging with people, hospitality might not be the ideal profession for them. We also had to wait 13 full minutes for the bill, which at the end of the evening felt like yet another unnecessary frustration.
I used to love coming here, but today’s experience was sadly tarnished by the lack of attentiveness and professionalism from our waitress.

Így nagy áttanulmányozás után nehezen de sikerült választani. Mikor megkérdeztem a pincért, hogy mi a különbség a “csülkös babgulyás” és az “Alföldi bográcsgulyás” közt a pincérnő felhúzta a szemét annyit mondott: “Nem értem a kérdést”. Szerintem egy vendégnek ezt nem illik mondani, inkább csak el kellett volna magyarázni, de ki vagyok én? Az ételek gyorsan megérkeztek, megettük. A másodikat mikor kiválasztottuk volt egy kavarodás mert a marha ételekről kérdeztem és mikor megkérdeztem és mondtam, hogy Érlelt Argentin Hátszínszeleteket kérek, akkor megkérdeztem hogy ez igazából “Entrecote”? Akkor annyit mondott ugyanez a felszolgáló, hogy igen, ez Steak és kérdezte, hogy hogy szeretem így medium-rare-t kértem. Gyorsan kihozták a főételeket is, a párom akkora bécsi szeletet kapott, hogy a tányérra is alig fért rá. Azonban én nem Steaket kaptam, hanem ténylegesen vékony hátszínszeleteket így ezt egy fél órával később korrigálták. Az étterem nagyon hangulatos, elő zene szólt mindvégig és tényleg hatalmas adagok az ételek. Read moreAfter finishing our lunch, I asked for a bill and told to the waiter that I will pay with a card. He told me it is not possible, so I asked where are you mentioning that this place is cash only? He said, at the bottom of the menu list... He admitted they had a lot of complaints because they are not saying or indicating their cash only payment. When I asked why did not you tell us if you already have problems, he said because it is not mandatory.... and the boss of the place is not taking care of this.
Luckily they had an ATM, in a couple of meter, but it was out of service for days, according to the staff.
We were lucky that a half portion of fried chicken breast with french fries and a half portuon of fried fish + 2 lemonades were 30 eur / 9040HUF...
Every food was dry and poorly spiced. I ate 2 bites and they did not even asked how did I like the foods...
