Stettni Club — Restaurant in Mosonmagyaróvári járás

Sitting on my train bound for Bratislava, I change over at Hegyeshalom. It's a funny name, the town looks small on the map, it intrigues me. But my next train has arrived, I sit down to leave this curious place, never to see more than the 3 platforms of its station. But I look closer at the map of this peculiar place and I see a lake, no more than a spec of blue in a sea of grey and green. I zoom in. There's an orange icon next to it, a knife and fork. I click. It looks to be a burger joint, and by the look of the photos, some damn fine burgers. My train leaves in 6 minutes, and I am confronted with a decision; stay on board and abide by the flat edge of my destiny, or step off, and see for myself what exists in this space and time. The train leaves and I am not on board, by this time halfway to my destination, already having seen an impromptu bus stop haircut and a myriad of perfect homes, each scaled according to the fantastically ordinary lives of those who reside within. My path takes me through glimpses of a hundred such lives and each light I see inside is another life just as intricate as mine. The evening light is dim and cool as I arrive, the small log building washed in the reflection of the lake. Inside is a sparse population of locals and I a foreign traveller regarded with little interest as they resume their Tuesday evening and I would not have it any other way. I order a burger and beer and sit outside and drink my beer and look at the lake and everything here is in perfect harmony with itself, and I have been welcomed into this picture with blissful indifference and when the food comes it is good and hot and plentiful. The time passes, in my headphones a man speaks at length about a great passion of his and all around the nature of the earth is green and soft and the nature of humans is warm and cordial inside. I sit in the veranda outside on the bridge between these two parallel virtues and I am happy....

We made a quick stop for food because we were starving, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions of our trip! I’m a notoriously fussy eater, so I asked for a cheeseburger with just cheese and onions—nothing else—and they catered to my request perfectly without any fuss. The burger was honestly one of the best I’ve ever had—fresh, flavorful, and cooked just right.

My partner went for the pizza gyros, and it hit the spot perfectly. Tasty, satisfying, and exactly what we needed to refuel before hitting the road again.

Minden évben egyszer legalább ( már több , mint 25 éve ) meglátogattuk a Stettni tavat és gyönyörű , szépen rendbentartott környezetét . Nemrég tudomásunkra jutott , hogy melegkonyhás éttermi szolgáltatással bővült a kínálatuk és ismerőseim pozitívan nyilatkoztak róla. Ausztriából hazatérve, tettünk ismét egy kitérőt és az eddig is tökéletes kávé és üdítők mellett kipróbáljuk a konyhát . Hát csak azt tudjuk mondani , hogy "le a kalappal " ! Gyors , finom , nagy adag ételek a Magyarországi átlag éttermek árának harmadáért. Döbbenetes , hogy az osztrák határtól egy-két kilométerre , ilyen árakon , ilyen mennyiségű és minőségű ételeleket, ilyen hangulatos és szép környezetben, mindenki számára egy étkezés elfogyasztásához megfelelő hangulatú és hangerősségű zenei aláfestés mellett tudtunk elfogyasztani. Valahogy Mosonmagyaróvár és környékén , valamint az M1-es autópályán közlekedők számára tudatosítani kellene ezt a helyet , hogy a vendégforgalom egy olyan bevételi forrást jelentsen az üzemeltetőnek, hogy ezeket az árakat naggyából tartva neki is és alkalmazottainak is egy hosszútávú, biztos megélhetési forrást jelentsen . Minden tanult ember tudja , hogy 105 , 130 % százalék nincs . Én is tudom !!! Ennek ellenére a hely számunkra , több, mint 100% . Kérünk mindenkit, ha teheti , akkor látogassa meg a helyet és fogyasszon bármit , fogyasztásával maximálisan támogassa a vendéglátó hely hosszútávú fennmaradását!!!!
