Garden Bistro&Beach — Restaurant in Szegedi járás

Went for dinner with a friend on a Tuesday night. Welcoming place. Did not have a booking but it was no problem, we could sit wherever we pleased. Server arrived with two menus quickly and asked for our drinks straight away. We needed a minute. Ordered two cocktails that were a decent size for a very reasonable price and well made. Maybe a dash more Prosecco in the Aperol Spritz and it would have been perfect.

The food menu offered plenty of choice, mostly items that are common in Hungarian restaurants but most had a slight twist to them that made it more refreshing and appeared more modern. The meal we both received were enjoyable and well presented. You can feel it was freshly cooked with care. It was tasty and filling and was more than enough. Well done.

The dessert selection was divided into two: a slightly more traditional one and a whole page of waffles with various toppings. We went for the soufflé. It was nice and had a melted chocolate inside that was steaming hot.

Payment was easy, divided it into two so we had to go to the till but it was quick and professional. Service charge is added to the final charge so no tips are required.

Stepping into Garden bistro promised an evening of gastronomic delight, but what ensued was a nightmare that left me physically and emotionally scarred. The ambiance was quaint, but that's where the charm ended.

The meal started with promise, but as I bit into my entrée, I knew something was amiss. Hours later, I found myself writhing in agony, rushed to the hospital with a severe case of food poisoning. Garden Bistro had unleashed a culinary catastrophe upon me.

But the horror didn't end there. During my ordeal, the manager had the audacity to humiliate me, suggesting that my illness was a result of my own negligence. The lack of empathy was as nauseating as the meal itself.

As I lay in my hospital bed, cursing the day I set foot in that wretched establishment, I couldn't help but feel a profound sense of betrayal. Garden Bistro had not only compromised my health but also tarnished my trust in dining out.

In conclusion, avoid Garden bistro at all costs unless you have a masochistic streak or a desire to spend your evenings in agony. As for me, I'll be steering clear of this culinary catastrophe and nursing my wounds, both physical...

Tisztelt Cím, kedves Tulajdonos!

Mielőtt a mostani "élményünkről" írnék, megjegyezném, hogy tavaly jártam életemben először Önöknél egy kisebb társasággal és nagyon elégedettek voltunk mindennel! Kedves volt a kiszolgálás, finomak voltak az ételek és nagyon kellemes volt a hangulat.

Úgy gondoltuk, hogy megismételjük a látogatást, eszünk egy jót és ismét eltöltünk egy klassz estét Önöknél. Sajnos ezalkalommal nem voltak jó tapasztalataink.

A felszolgáló egy meglehetősen modortalan, türelmetlen "úr" volt.

A poharaink, amiben a pálinkákat felszolgálták koszosak voltak. Ettől egy jó pálinka is többet érdemel, nemhogy egy vendég.

Étel tekintetében az én választásom baconbe göngyölt harcsa filé volt tejszínes gombamártással. A hal ehetetlenül zsíros volt.

Az asztaltársaságunk egy másik tagja grillen sült csevapot rendelt, amihez lepény is járt, de még milyen? Pár percen belül olyan kemény lett, mint a beton, élvezhetetlen, ehetetlen volt. Nyilván újra lett melegítve...nem tudom, hogy pontosan mennyibe kerülhet egy lepény, de véleményem szerint butaság egy ilyen finom ételt, mint a csevap ilyen aprósággal agyoncsapni.

Az interneten szereplő nyitvatartási időhöz képest egy órával hamarabb kb. kitettek minket. Nem lettünk időben tájékoztatva, az utolsó 20 percben lett ez csak úgy odanyögve. Pedig még szívesen maradtunk volna, italmegrendelésünk a vacsora után is folyamatosan volt.

Volt még "egy-két" apróság a felszólgálók részéről, amit már meg sem említenék. Egy vicc volt az egész este velük, csak kicsit sokba került.

Igazán sajnálom, hogy az első jó élményünk után, a második alkalom ekkora csalódás volt...
