We were driving the south coast, on our way to Skogafoss and in need of some food - We saw a massive sign for street food and pulled up here. Went inside and 3 things on menu, fish and chips, soup and lasagne. The place was pretty busy and there was one guy cooking, serving and clearing up so we waited a bit to get served which isn't what we are used to. These first impressions made us a bit worried - we ordered fish and chips regardless. They say don't judge a book by its cover and this has never been truer - i am from the UK the home of fish and chips and I have had my fair share across the UK. However I have never had a better battered fish in my life as the fish I had in this place - it was unreal! The seasoning on the chips was also 10/10 and the two pots of sauce (tartar and ketchup) were a league above what we were used to. For one guy doing this on his own, we were super impressed - it was the best food we had in the 7 days we were in Iceland and we did the whole south coast from Reykjavik to Hofn. Highly recommend stopping here if you are going to Skogafoss! Brilliant food!

**updated OK I'm upgrading to 4 stars because my wife told me to. The girl at the counter was really trying hard, rushing around getting everyone their stuff And my wife said her carrot cake was super delicious, and she knows her carrot cake! Honestly, this place got 3 stars because they were out of fish and chips. I bet the fish and chips are great, the people sitting eating theirs looked very happy and like they were really enjoying them. I just wish they still had some when we ordered. All that was left was soup and lasagna. The carrot cake and pistachio cake were great and the beer was cold. Service was just OK as well.

Me and my husband were extremely starving and nothing by the the waterfall area so decided to stop by and check this small restaurant. Probably because of the remote area since its far from other major big city the prices were VERY high, a fish and chips and a soup $42 US dollars, I was a very in shock but hey its Iceland, nothing its cheap. Staff was very nice and restaurant was very clean and free parking.
