We’ve had the most wonderful experience at Kaffi Klara during our stay in Olafsfjordur. Everyday we would come for lunch and Ida the chef would prepare us the most special vegan dish. The food is delicious and completely vegan friendly, not to mention the people here became like family to us and one of the most memorable parts of our trip to Iceland. We can’t wait to come back and visit them in the years to come. Missing them and Ida’s food already!

Great place to go, good coffee and very friendly waitress. We did not stay for the night, it was just a place to stop and have coffee. It’s an old postoffice with old telephone booth.

A nice place to stop. The woman is super friendly. At the beginning we were alone, but in less than half an hour it was full, with some locals also. The cakes were looking and also tasting superlative! Side note: given that she does everything alone (or almost everything - later on her husband? went arrived to help) one has to be patient and keep himself busy while she prepares the order. Being stressed due to this bit brings nothing: we are in Ólafsfjörður, she cannot have a lot of people that works with her. In times were everything it's super fast it a good lesson about the fact that slowing down and being patient has...

It was really nice and good as well. It’s a very peaceful restaurant where you can eat local food. There’s a menu of the day and also courses on a board. A small place at the end of the word. Deserved the kilometers we did from Reykjavik. We found it randomly. We paid more for sandwiches in the Town state. Here, we had a full lunch in a great environment. Thank-you so much ! We had the lunch of the day. It was asparagus soup (I don’t even like this vegetable usually but here, it made me changed my mind), fish donuts and steamed vegetables, salad and for desert rhubarb marmelade...
