Kvika Kaffi — Restaurant in undefined

Kaffi Kvika was the café of Mývatn Nature Baths during our visit. There was a decent selection of baked goods and soup, including vegan ones. In addition to hot food, they’ve got cold food too, even a freezer with ice cream for sale. During our visit, we had the vegan, velvety tomato soup which was very smooth and savoury.

It’s a good place if you want a bit of a break from the midges of the area! We thought there was plenty of seating which were all clean too. Overall, Kaffi Kvika is a decent...

Not sure why this cafe only had 3.5 stars on google. This was a great stop for lunch after walking Hverfjall in the morning. Had the tasty and hearty beef goulash soup, but lots of other hot and cold food options available at a reasonable (for Iceland) price. Staff were very friendly and helpful....

The smoked trout on bread was pretty good. I actually think the crumbly, slightly sweet bread Icelandic people enjoy is the perfect vessel to enjoy the smoky, savoury notes and the velvety texture of the fish.
