A highlight of our trip. AMAZING food and decor. You can’t miss this place in Iceland.
The decor is like a time capsule / mini museum of how the fishermen left it. Beautiful. It feels full of stories… (and full of secrets I like to think!) The dishes were made with unique fresh local ingredients (we were told that the owner hunt the reindeer himself. In Iceland they don’t sell reindeer at stores, you need a hunting license to go hunt down your own reindeer).
⭐️Our favorite: PAN FRIED REINDEER. The meat was so fresh, it had so much flavor. Perfectly cooked very red inside but lots of flavor on the outside.
Others: Fermented shark. Interesting and unique experience. It’s a typical local dish but it has a strong taste of ammonia. It comes with shots of local liquor “Brennivin.” Fun experience. Lamb carpaccio, catfish, bacalao, and reindeer meatballs, and the skyr dessert with rhubarb. Everything was great.
Another highlight of our experience at Randulf’s sea house was the lovely staff from Spain that were so kind and attentive. The chef Alvaro suggested us to share all our dishes and was so thoughtful to prepare each dish divided in 4 so that we could easily split between the 4 of us. And the lovely waitress Elìa which was so friendly and helpful at all times making us feel so comfortable and welcomed. They all made this be one of our best experiences in Iceland so...
Read moreWe had an unforgettable dining experience at Randulf’s in Eskifjörður. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed by one of the kindest and most attentive waiters we’ve ever met. His genuine friendliness and professionalism made us feel instantly at home and truly enhanced the whole lunch.
The food was absolutely outstanding, every dish was full of flavor, beautifully presented, and made with high-quality ingredients. You can truly taste the freshness and care put into each plate. The chef’s talent and creativity shine through in every bite; it’s clear that this is someone who cooks with both passion and precision.
If you find yourself in the Eastfjords, don’t miss this spot. The atmosphere is cozy and authentic, the service is exceptional, and the cuisine is simply top-notch. Highly...
Read moreHighly disappointing food. We ordered the Icelandic seafood soup. They should be ashamed with the dish they served us! It was not even luke warm, cold ingredients and no fresh fish to be found but frozen surimisticks! The cheapest of cheapest imitation fish you can buy! We send it back to the kitchen. Our starters have potential to be nice, but the lamb carpaccio was covered with parmazan cheese that overpowered the plate. I put half of it to the side. The blackbird bao was good. We paid the starters and left. We wouldn’t dare to try a dessert. Overal the prices are maand for what you get. You can better stop for an excellent lunch at Nielsen where the price range is the same or a little bit less. And that is an...
