Viethouse — Restaurant in Reykjavik

We were very excited about the food so arrived there bit earlier than the opening hour (from 3 pm) on Google. A lady (seemingly the owner of the shop) welcomed us with a beautiful smile and we were the first customers. We ordered the beef Pho and the pork skewers. Both were on point and super delicious especially the broth is amazing, rich but not so greasy, the portion was fair too considering the price! Probably the best Vietnamese in a while at least including Europe. The lady was super cute and attentive checking if the food was good. Probably one of the best foods during our trip in Iceland, thanks for the delicious food, we will definitely visit again for more nice food! The Vietnamese coffee is a must-try! Very sweet owner. I thought she was Thai initially and she thought I was also Thai! Turns out we were both vietnamese and I had a wonderful chat with her. The food was delicious and very flavorful. You can tell she loves cooking. If it's cold or rainy out, nothing beats a hot bowl of beef soup. The chicken fried rice was also a surprise - highly recommended!! Always happy to support a local shop and the small vietnamese community...

It was a little difficult to find this restaurant as it is further in the plaza from parking lot. The phở was flavorful and the bún tôm was good. Definitely suggest this place to those who can drive away from city center. It offers full bar with great wine selection. The decor however was a bit strange with mixture of East and West, including some reindeer and a large TV. Don't go for...
