We made a slight detour into Reyðarfjörður while driving along the Ring Road in the south of Iceland after picking up a tip about Sesam Braudhús. This is a great little bakery and cafe on Hafnargata Street. They have indoor seating, you can do take-away as well. Opening times are 7.30am to 4.30pm (weekdays), 9am to 3pm (Sat), closed on Sundays.
During our visit we enjoyed a very good chorizo and cheese panini and croissant style cinnamon bun. Both were delicious. We ended up buying a couple extra of the cinnamon buns to enjoy the next day. Coffees served were good as well. This was our favourite bakery found during our two week trip around Iceland. Best Cinnamon roll I have had ever! (460Kr) Truth is, it is more like a rolled up cinnamon cookies but super aromatic. My husband loved the chocolate cookie (610Kr) as well. Wish I had more pictures to show but the treats were so good we just ate them straight.

We bought a variety of bread, sandwiches, and sweets, and it was all outstanding.
