If you enjoy burgers and fish & chips, i recommend this place.. if you want to try something else, don't have a high expectations..

We stopped after long trip and were starving. We sat on the terrace, after convincing the waiter that it was neither wet nor cold outside. After we ordered we waited almost half an hour, which is normal for any restaurants during dinner time. We had a Salmon and Grilled Lamb Fillet... It's better to tell service how you want your lamb while ordering, because the standard is well done.. Meat was probably sous vide, grilled and then in the oven. Salmon was from outside nice big portion of fish, unfortunately raw from inside with texture like a mud.. On both dishes was the same salad but delicious👍. We naturally ask for a new dish, which took another half an hour with a question of annoyed Chef ,,so guys, is it good now?". It was 👍. What a special find! Don’t be deceived by the menu being primarily burgers- every combination is thoughtfully arranged with delicious fresh ingredients, and are so filling! I had the Vegamot burger and my partner had the Blue Cheese burger and both were amazing. Great fries, too. The staff is so warm and welcoming, interacting with them just left you feeling good, on top of being full and happy from a delicious meal. They also have gluten free buns available and are more than happy to accommodate! If you’re thinking about stopping here for a bite while in Tálknafjördur, I strongly urge you to do it. Don't let the grocery store in front fool you -- the restaurant seating is in the rear. Staff are quite pleasant and welcoming. The menu fare is far beyond what one would normally expect for an establishment of this size. Particularly the fish & chips is far better than most, with a delicious balsamic drizzle on the fish and the fries not huge & starchy but perfectly fried. Truly a treat not to be missed. The place is lucky to have this chef, who is quite personable...
