I recently had the pleasure of staying in Neil Islands for two nights, and the highlight of my trip was undoubtedly the delightful dining experience at Lala Babu Restaurant. From the moment we stepped in, we were warmly welcomed by the owner himself, who went above and beyond to make our visit unforgettable.

The local cuisine served at Lala Babu Restaurant was an absolute treat for the taste buds. With the owner's expert guidance, we had the opportunity to savor some authentic local dishes. The local fish was cooked to perfection, and the flavors were truly exceptional. The prawns were an absolute must-try - succulent, juicy, and bursting with flavors!

What made the dining experience even more special was the owner's personal touch. He took the time to engage with us, sharing stories about the island, its culture, and the best places to explore. His recommendations for local tourist spots and the most beautiful beaches to visit were incredibly valuable and helped us make the most of our time on the island.

Beyond the delicious food and invaluable local insights, the service at Lala Babu Restaurant was top-notch. The staff was courteous, attentive, and ensured we had a memorable time throughout our visit.

I had the pleasure of dining at Lala Babu restaurant during my recent visit to Neil Island, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. The highlight of my meal was definitely the fish chilly dish. The fish was cooked to perfection, with just the right amount of seasoning to bring out the flavors without overpowering the natural taste of the fish. The portion size was quite generous, and I found it to be sufficient for one person.

In addition to the delicious food, the service at Lala Babu restaurant was prompt and attentive. The staff was friendly and accommodating, adding to the overall positive dining experience. The ambiance of the restaurant was also pleasant, creating a comfortable and inviting atmosphere for patrons.

While I thoroughly enjoyed my meal, I do believe there is always room for improvement. Perhaps a wider variety of side dishes or accompaniments for the fish chilly dish could enhance the overall dining experience even further.

We went into this Hotel for Lunch after reading all the 5-star ratings on Google. Honestly, we were underwhelmed by the food and the service we got. We stayed at the Symphony Summer Sands which is adjacent to this Cafe. We read all the good reviews on google and decided to give it a try and our experience was not very good. We ordered Red Snapper; however, it wasn't clearly told at the time of ordering that it will be deep fried. The fish wasn't fried at the right temperature and had become like rubber and wasn’t very appetizing. Veg options (PBM) was okay. Fish was expensive too which was a bit of a surprise, since we thought that prices would be reasonable considering fish is sourced locally. When we went in the hotel was not very busy, however within 30 mins lot of customers came in and the staff struggled while managing them. Overall, the food and the experience at Lala Babu was a mixed bag, Food was good but not great.

Note - They used lot of food color on the fish to make it look red, as the color was there on my hands even after washing it with soap. Recommend chef please not to use...
