A Dining Disaster—Rudeness and Incompetence at Its Worst
If you're thinking of dining at Delhi Highway in Ongole, do yourself a favor and turn around immediately. This place is a disaster on every level, and I'm writing this long review right from my seat while still waiting for the bill. Yes, you read that right—I'm so fed up with the lack of service that I have time to write this entire review while waiting for something as simple as a bill. You can well imagine the glacial pace at which things work here.
The staff here are beyond hopeless. They have absolutely no manners or etiquette, and their rude tone makes you wonder how on earth they landed in a customer-facing job in hospitality. It's baffling—maybe only the lord almighty knows how such individuals were put in charge of dealing with customers. Their rudeness is only surpassed by their sheer incompetence.
Service? What service? A snail could circle the earth faster than the time it takes the servers, managers, or anyone in this establishment to listen to you, let alone fulfill your requests. From the moment you walk in, you're in for an excruciating wait—whether it's getting seated, obtaining a menu, or finally receiving your food. I had to ask for a glass eight times before I finally got one, and even when the manager was called over, it was a waste of breath. They were just as useless, with no concept of how to treat customers.
The state of the dining ware is another horror story. Chipped plates, broken glasses, and soiled cutlery are just the trailer to the nightmare that is dining at Delhi Highway. These aren't rare occurrences—they're the norm here. It's as if the place takes pride in being the absolute worst.
And let’s talk about the meal—if you can call it that. It took a staggering hour and a half for five people to complete a meal with basic orders. To add insult to injury, the server managed to get a couple of orders wrong and then had the audacity to blame me for not clarifying. As a customer, I know exactly what I ordered. This kind of attitude is completely unacceptable in any industry, let alone hospitality.
In summary, Delhi Highway is a place to avoid at all costs. The staff is rude and incompetent, the service is painfully slow, and the overall experience is nothing short of appalling. If you value your time, your money, and your dignity, stay as far away from this place as possible. They’re lucky Google doesn’t allow for negative stars else they would have topped the...
Read moreBeware of this highway robbery! If you are looking for a place to eat on the highway, do not fall for this trap. This place is a nightmare for any traveler who values their time, money, and health. Here are some of the reasons why you should steer clear of this place:
The staff are the rudest and most unprofessional people you will ever encounter. They treat you with contempt and disrespect, and the supervisor or manager is even worse. They do not care about customers satisfaction or goodwill, only about how much they can squeeze out of you. The food is terrible and possibly harmful. It tastes like they are adding some filler or unknown adulterant substance to the food , which makes you feel sick and bloated after eating very little. They also serve you in tiny portions, such as 1 pani puri, 1 piece of paneer, 2 pieces of gobi, and make you wait for ages before bringing them. They act like they forgot your order, but they are actually hoping that you will get tired or embarrassed and stop asking for more. This is a cunning and dishonest way to save money and waste your time, as they know that you are in a hurry and have no other option.
The positive reviews are all fake or bought. There is no way that anyone can genuinely like or recommend this place, unless they are getting paid or pressured. This place is a fraud and a rip-off, and they should be ashamed of themselves.
Do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all costs. You will be better off eating at a roadside stall or sleeping in your car than spending a single rupee or minute at this place. This place is a disgrace to the hospitality industry and a danger...
