Hotel Amalodbhavi — Restaurant in Andhra Pradesh

I was on my way to Hyderabad on 1st Nov 2021 and stopped at AFR at around 1 PM to have a quick meal. They charged 120 for an Andhra meal. It had Rice, Cabbage Curry, Sambar, vegetables & Dal and Curd with some chutney and few Crisps. Curd was good. Gongura chutney was ok. Cabbage curry was ok. Crisps were ok Rice was bad - not good quality and not properly cooked. Dal was hopeless. Watery and the leafy vegetables in it tasted like straw. Sambar was the worst. Any self respecting south Indian will not like it.

Overall, I felt it is not worth 120. My be OK for a 60 rupee meal.

The location was in fact a good one with decent parking and basic landscaping outside. The inside was very basic - but clean enough. The A/C were present but were not turned on. Fans were on.

The server was attentive. The guy at the cash counter does not seem to care much. No receipts were given for the money taken. The restaurant was empty (1 PM too early??).

I gave 2 starts because I in fact had a meal ( a very lite one!) with Curry and Curd. The poor server deserves some appreciation.

If you don't mind driving for another hours from there towards Hyderabad, I strongly recommend that you stop just before Suryapet by-pass at Godavari restaurant. I had lunch there few month ago. They costed similar amount for a much much better meal.

Usually i use it to keep charging for my Ather scooty charging point in front of this restaurant. because of the rain I went inside the hotel. I thought about having something to eat. The staff behaviour was not good and the owners received it not good.

Once upon a time it was a good and very busy hotel in Ibrahimpatnam.

In case of emergency If can try when there is no other option can opt for this hotel. Don't know the timings of this restaurant or hotel because they don't run on some basis. Tea, Tiffins, North & South Indian meals, Biryanis and Chinese are available.Both vegetarian and Non vegetarian are available but there is no particular menu here.

Soft drinks are also available and ice creams too.

The food is not that much worthy i felt. But once we can try this that's for sure I...

Once,I visited the AfR hotel with my family. I don't ever recommend this hotel to anyone. When I visited ,the time was 8.30.There was no single customer, Hope we were only entered into the hotel as the first customer around 8.30. we didn't have many choices here the idly and dosa items were only available. We ordered 4 plates idly , and the taste was just ok. After adding 4 onion Dosa's ,it tasted very bad(Sour) and the batter seemed too old. The cost was too high , the single onion Dosa is 80/- and one plate idly (count 3 small )40/-. Over we spent 500 for 4 people.
