If you're a biryani aficionado like me, then you simply cannot miss the delightful experience of dining at Subhani Hotel in Guntur. From the moment I stepped foot into this charming eatery, I was captivated by the aroma of spices wafting through the air, promising a culinary adventure like no other. The star of the show, of course, is their famous biryani. Let me tell you, it lives up to every bit of its reputation and more! The moment the plate was placed before me, I couldn't help but be amazed by the sight of the perfectly cooked, fragrant rice layered with succulent pieces of tender meat and an assortment of spices that left me salivating. Each grain of rice was infused with flavors that harmonized beautifully, creating an explosion of taste with every mouthful. The meat was cooked to perfection, tender enough to melt in your mouth, and the blend of spices was simply heavenly. Apart from the biryani, the variety of side dishes and accompaniments available at Subhani Hotel is impressive. The flavorful and creamy raita perfectly complemented the biryani, and the mirchi ka salan provided a spicy kick that added an extra layer of excitement to the meal. The ambiance of the restaurant is warm and inviting, and the staff were attentive and courteous, making the overall dining experience even more enjoyable. The prices were reasonable for the quality and quantity of food served. I've had biryanis from various places, but Subhani Hotel's version is undoubtedly one of the best I've ever tasted. It is evident that the chefs here take immense pride in their craft and use only the finest ingredients to create their masterpieces. In conclusion, if you find yourself in Guntur and are on the hunt for a biryani that will leave a lasting impression on your taste buds, look no further than Subhani Hotel. Their famous biryani is an absolute must-try, and I guarantee you won't be disappointed. I'll surely be returning for more, and I can't wait to explore the other culinary delights this gem of a hotel has to offer!

Previously, I had rated the Guntur Subhani Hotel branch located in Kukatpally, Hyderabad, which is an extension of the original Guntur Subhani Hotel in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh. Yesterday, I visited Guntur for personal work, and one of the highlights of my trip was dining at the original Subhani Hotel. Unfortunately, due to the late hour, mutton biryani was unavailable, so we enjoyed chicken biryani, mutton fry, and kichidi. The flavors were amazing! They use light, subtle spices rather than heavy masalas. The biryani was served with Mirchi Ka Saalan, Katta (similar to sambar), Gongura chutney, and onion-curd raita. The biryani alone was delicious, but these unique sides—Katta, Gongura chutney, and raita—elevated the flavor even more. For vegetarians, I recommend trying the kichidi, which captures the same delicious biryani flavor without any meat. It’s a must-try! The seating is simple, like a traditional mess, yet comfortable and well-maintained. They cook using an old-fashioned stove rather than a regular gas stove, and the fuel material they use has a rough, earthy texture that was commonly used in earlier times. Compared to the Kukatpally branch, I found the original Guntur Subhani to be much better in terms of service style and ambiance. The founder, Mr. Subhani, unfortunately passed away in 2020 due to COVID-19, but his family is carrying on his legacy, maintaining the authenticity and quality that make this place special. The above review is based on taste, quality, and ambiance. If anyone finds it doesn’t meet their expectations or personal taste preferences, please don’t take it otherwise.

People who come to Hotel Subhani usually order just for their Mutton Biryani. Their stocks get over pretty quickly, so patrons are prepared for the fact that they might have to have the Chicken Biryani instead.  Of course, they do serve other dishes. You can get Haleem topped with fried cashew nuts, Mutton Kebabs With Khichdi, and more. Chicken lovers can binge on the Chicken Curry, and the Chicken Fry. You can also get bheja and gurda here. If you’re lucky enough to get a seat to dine in here, after having toiled for so long, you will see that they serve their signature Gongura Chutneyalong with some salan and raita with your biryani. And, your biryani is served on a plate lined with a banana leaf cut to size. After all, a biryani is more than just a dish. It is an experience. The Mutton Biryani is served only on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays and costs about Rs 250 to 300 per plate. A plate of haleem is for Rs 100, and you should get some rotis to mop it up with. The tender meat just melts in your mouth and the cashew nuts give it that nice little bite. Hotel Subhani in Guntur is that one place I’d go back all the way just for the experience (and that biryani!).

Best biryani in heart of Guntur many years of legacy which made Mutton Biryani The aroma hit me first, a heady blend of spices, fragrant basmati rice, and the unmistakable tang of mint. As I dug into the steaming pot of Mutton Biryani, I was transported to a culinary paradise. The presentation was enticing, with layers of saffron-infused rice interspersed with succulent pieces of tender mutton. Each mouthful was a symphony of flavors. The rice, perfectly cooked, was light and fluffy, absorbing the essence of the spices without becoming mushy. The mutton, slow-cooked to perfection, was incredibly tender and fell off the bone effortlessly. The spices were a masterful blend, with each one contributing its unique character to the overall flavor profile. The warmth of the cardamom, the fiery kick of the chili, the earthy depth of the cumin, and the subtle sweetness of the saffron all danced on my palate. The raita, a cool and creamy yogurt dip, provided a refreshing counterpoint to the richness of the biryani. The mutton itself was the star of the show. It was cooked to perfection, retaining its juiciness while falling off the bone. The marinade, a blend of aromatic spices and yogurt, had imparted a wonderful depth of flavor to the meat This Mutton Biryani was a true culinary masterpiece. It was a celebration of flavors, a testament to the art of slow cooking, and a reminder of the magic that can be created with simple ingredients. I would highly recommend this dish to anyone who appreciates authentic Indian cuisine. Key takeaways: Flavorful and Aromatic: A delightful blend of spices, fragrant rice, and tender mutton. Perfectly Cooked Rice: Light, fluffy, and infused with the essence of spices. Tender Mutton: Slow-cooked to perfection, falling off the bone effortlessly. Masterful Spice Blend: A harmonious balance of warmth, heat, and earthy undertones. Refreshing Raita: A perfect accompaniment to the richness of the biryani. This review provides a comprehensive overview of the Mutton Biryani, highlighting its key features and sensory...
