Details of visit: Sunday lunch.
Disappointing, to say the least. It seems like the establishment is only relying on the good graces of the Mariott brand name, expecting it to do all the heavy lifting without having adequate quality food, hygiene, service or ambience.
Food(Veg) - The spread is quite sparse, given the price. The curries have too much masala, and you can see a thick layer of oil floating on top. In the whole buffet spread, the only impressive items were rasam, sambhar and the Pani Puri water. If you think those 3 items are worth the buffet price (1300INR), go for it. My recommendation would be to spend your money wisely on a nice roadside dhabba instead.
Hygiene - The staff are complacent when it comes to food hygiene. There were kids putting their entire hands in the cakes in the dessert section, and everyone turned a blind eye till we went and complained. If you'd like to visit a restaurant with such low hygiene standards, then I would say go for it.
Service - We went around 2pm, maybe that is rush hour for this place, even though more than half the tables were empty. We had to request servers multiple times to clear the plates, and at one point we were so fed up we were clearing it out ourselves. It is also to be noted that the servers could clearly see the table is overflowing with plates when bringing food, but couldn't be bothered to clear it off. Not to mention a lack of spoons, and terribly slow service in general.
Maybe we should've just been grateful for the privilege of being paying customers at this establishment. If you want a noise, unclean restaurant where you receive minimal attention to the point you feel it's better to go into the kitchen and make the food yourself, then I'd highly recommend it. Otherwise, you'd be better off getting some good quality food at one of the stalls on...
Read moreLocated within the premises of The Fairfield by Marriott at Vizag, this restaurant is definitely in the list when you look for buffet options. There is option for valet parking. We dined at the restaurant for both the lunch and dinner buffet, and we were genuinely pleased with the overall experience. The ambience was uber cool and thoughtfully designed, giving the place a modern yet comfortable vibe. The seating arrangement was spacious and well-lit, making it perfect for both relaxed meals and extended conversations. The buffet spread was quite extensive, offering a balanced mix of South Indian, Asian and Continental options. The dishes were fresh, flavorful and well-prepared, with good attention to presentation. We especially appreciated that the menu had something for every palate, without feeling repetitive between lunch and a dinner. The service deserves a special mention…the staff were polite, attentive and very considerate throughout our meals. They ensured plates were cleared in time, refills were offered promptly, and they checked in just enough without being intrusive. Their warm and professional approach added to the pleasant dining atmosphere. Tariff wise I had no room to complain against a charge of 1399 rs. Overall verdict… a satisfying and enjoyable experience. Great food, good variety, and excellent hospitality - would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice buffet...
