A wonderful Dhaba with unbelievable economical pricing. The closest restaurant to the Visakhapatnam airport.
I ordered Paneer tikka (4 pieces) as starter and they provided real big pieces. It was tangy and delicious. Then I ordered Veg. kadai and it was made with an assortment of vegetables. Super taste. Just the right amount of spiciness as I don't have very spicy food. I had it with one nan and one tandoori roti. Both were very well-made. And I didn't have the stomach to order any more rotis/nan.
I also ordered a big bottle of Bisleri and guess what the bill came to? Rs.409. I was stunned. I couldn't eat the whole thing and left quite a bit of the kadai and also one paneer piece. So, for the quantity and taste of food provided, the price was very very economical.
I loved my experience at this restaurant and I saw many youngsters come there to have their lunch. Being March 8th, a group of ladies too came, to celebrate Women's day. I was the first one to go there and I was wondering when someone else will come. But gradually, people starting pouring in and that's when I realised it is a regular hangout for these people.
I understood that lots of people visit this Dhaba, as I saw many many workers preparing the restaurant for the incoming visitors, which included cleaning both internal & external floors, watering the garden, sopping the exterior walkway, getting the tables and washing areas ready and so on.
When I saw this team of people doing so many things, I realised they must be having a good amount of clientele and they must be coming in the afternoon as well. Therefore, the Dhaba staff/owners need to give them a good experience, every time the visitor comes. And that's exactly what happened. People started flocking in and soon it was almost filled up.
I reached there at around 10 am and the manager (a Sikh) told me the Dhaba starts at 11. I decided to wait there itself so that I can try out their delicacies, as this place was recommended to me by one of the security personnel at Vizag airport, when I asked him if he can guide me to a good restaurant. I had a long layover before my connecting flight and hence decided to venture out of the airport.
Forgot to tell, I am a pure Vegetarian so I ordered the above food. But I am sure the Dhaba is also popular for their Non-Veg food as they had all the regular Dhaba items in their menu and I saw that most of the other visitors ordered non-vegetarian only.
Am I glad the security guy recommended me to the New Dhaba City Punjab, as I ate to my heart's content. I would have loved to have their Lassi too but I was so full I just couldn't think my stomach could handle it.
All in all, a super tasty experience. It is a 'Dhaba' in the truest sense...

I had a highly disappointing experience at Dhaba City, Punjab. The place is hyped as a go-to spot, but in reality, it fails to deliver on almost every front. The view, which was supposedly a highlight, turned out to be nothing special โ poorly maintained surroundings, plastic waste nearby, and absolutely no ambiance that matched the pictures or the promises.
But what truly ruined the visit was the service. It was shockingly pathetic. We waited over 40 minutes just to get water, and when the food finally arrived, it was cold and tasteless. The staff seemed completely disinterested and untrained โ they were inattentive, rude, and unprofessional. Nobody apologized for the delays, and basic hygiene standards were clearly being ignored.
Tables were left dirty, flies were everywhere, and even after repeated calls for cleanup or service, we were ignored. This isnโt what youโd expect even from a roadside stall, let alone a place claiming to be a proper dhaba experience.
Overall, Dhaba City is a huge letdown. If you value your time, money, and mood, Iโd strongly suggest avoiding this place. Plenty of better and more welcoming spots in Punjab deserve your visit more...

Visited on 3/10/2020 for dinner around 10:30pm and the waiter came in to my table took the order 1kalmi Biryani and Mugali Chicken Curry with 1butter naan + Lassi. After 10mins the waiter comes and gives me the bill saying it's closing hour I need to pay the bill then only he will serve me the food. I went directly to the billing counter and saw a person with the Turban sitting and asked him the same then he replied me saying that what wrong in paying before the food is being served as he is in a hurry to closed the accounts. He was shot rude to me.
