Serves good food with worst hospitality. A good service and efficient hospitality are key to any business. However, southern spice restaurant lack these qualities. The staff were polite with their behaviour, except the white and white owner of the restaurant who was abusive towards staff and also customers. The restaurant is always busy that usually people who come here to dine in should wait for a while to get a table for dining. One such busy Sunday, I had witnessed an incident that people were waiting outside the restaurant as the restaurant is completely occupied. The owner and staff of the restaurant were not able to handle the situation and forced the preoccupied customers to leave even before they finish the meal. The owner and manager was verbally abusive towards staff using filthy language infront of the customers and also yelled at staff that “How long will you take?” indirectly asking customers “How long will you eat?” Some people left with unsatisfactory and awful hospitality. Some are about to order some more food but with the behaviour of the owner they had left with an incomplete meal. The owner was rude towards staff as well as customers and forced the customers to leave the place even before completing the meal. Previously we had organised two family marriage events here and we are also a very frequent visitors. But, with this experience we had decided not to visit this restaurant again. The only thing the management restaurant and the owner should learn is Customer Service is not a department. It’s an Attitude. Hospitality is simply an opportunity to show...
Read moreYesterday night we had ordered togo/parcel from this restaurant and this restaurant had sent us "Stale" food. We have called the restaurant immediately and notified about this to the staff. Staff member from restaurant had visited our place, but he was not ready to accept they had served "Stale/Spoiled" food and was insisting on taking the replacement.
We didn't call the restaurant to get "replacement" food. We couldn't understand how restaurant can serve "Stale" food for customers especially when we have toddlers who were going to eat the food we have ordered. I am not sure how these guys are serving stale food to customers under the feet of "Lord Venkateswara" and then rejecting the claim. They even didn't think about toddlers/kids who might consume the food provided by them.
We have rejected to take the money too they offered to refund us, even after giving the total order back to staff. I couldn't trust rest of the food which came from same kitchen. I am giving 1 star for the staff and the ambience . I would have given -ve star if possible on how management handled the issue. Instead of enquiring how "stale" food was delivered from the kitchen restaurant they were insisting on taking replacement and rejecting the claim of "Stale" food.
Advice to management, "Think about toddlers/kids" before serving stale food...
