I’m on a Quest - not the knight-in-armor type...
But the kind where I wander into eateries, try out what they have for a vegetarian like me, and then spill the beans on Google Maps.
First up: Subway.
Why Subway, you ask? (Cue 4th wall break.)
Because where else do you get to watch your food being built like a LEGO set made of veggies? Honestly, it’s like a salad theatre.
I went with a Paneer Tikka sub on Multigrain bread because if I’m going down the indulgence route, I might as well pretend to be healthy.
Spices? Medium. Sauce? More mayo. ...which, spoiler alert, turned out to be a terrible decision.
(Note to self: You hate mayo. You’ve always hated mayo. Why are you like this??)
The bread was fresh, crispy, and honestly the highlight of the whole sub. Every bite had a crunch that felt like Subway giving me a hug.
The paneer? Meh. It was there, but the flavor took a backseat - like it forgot it was the main character. And the veggies? A solid ensemble cast, crunchy, vibrant, reliable.
But the mayonnaise? An absolute villain. Turned my dream sub into a slippery, regret-laced mess. Why did I betray myself like this?
Great bread, decent veggies, paneer lacked punch, and the mayo? Never again.
Cya later, @Subway!
Until next time, keeping it plant-based and straight-up picky. The Green Guy (too mayoed out...
Read moreThis is a new Subway outlet in Yendada. It shares a building with Cream Stone, and a restaurant called Iceberg is directly adjacent. The kitchen, cooking station, and oven were all maintained spotless and hygienic. Employees had gloves and masks on. Employees need more training, since they were quite slow at putting sandwiches together, but given that the establishment is still new, I'm sure that this will change as business grows. For dine-in customers, there were roughly 5–7 tables.
Both the quantity and the quality of the food are consistent and fresh. Here at Subway, the bread is freshly baked every day, and the in-house sauces are fantastic to go with the diner's preferences.
The food is excellent, inexpensive, and good. The best feature is that you can customise your sub at every stage. The sauces are excellent, and the subs are made with fresh vegetables. The space is the only issue. Although the area is rather constrained, it is nevertheless an excellent place to fill your stomach when you're hungry.
You can have a sub at any time, whether it's as a meal or a snack....
Read moreThis is not the place for sub squad people. They put a tiny bit of vegetables in their sub. This is the first subway where I have seen a sub where they have restricted vegetable options!!! This is completely against the concept of the subway. I ordered a Tangy panner sandwich and this came with just onions 🧅 and tomato 🍅. They did not have my choice of bread either. Pathetic to see the...
