J's Jaika — Restaurant in Arunachal Pradesh

We stopped by J’s Jaika for lunch on 31st October 2024 (Diwali). We were planning to visit a couple of museums but realised they were all closed :( . So we decided to at least have a good meal and saw this was the best rated restaurant around.

The restaurant was quiet, with nice decor. However, probably because it was Diwali, there was only one waitress on the floor - but she was a very dedicated one, providing us with great service all on her own!

The food was okay, not the best I’ve ever had but also decently seasoned and cooked well. I could see the chefs working hard in the back though, so most likely it was all freshly prepared.

Special shoutout to the manager, Jamak who not only surprised us with a delicious dessert (the day’s special - Lubnan) but also stunned us with his incredibly fluent Kannada.

We had naan with mutton gravy which was delicious. I would definitely go again if I crave for naan because it is one of the few places here where naan is served well. Moreover, there's plenty of options for whatever gravy you would want for your naan. But,the kulche was not what I expected it to be. I wanted the kulche I had in the North but the taste was still not bad. The prices and proportions were okay as well while the ambience was fantastic and the staff were really comfortable to be. They even serve desserts which was a bonus. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to go for...

The menu is so big. Containing all kinds of Asian and Indian items BUT when you ask Most of the items are unavailable. Restaurants should always keep menu small which is available in their Restaurant. Not some Imaginary foods on the menu which are hardly available. *Second visit review- It was already 12 noon and they could only offer same old “chow,momo and biryani”,when inquired for variation..the waitress said #Abhi tak Chef nai aaya.
