A picturesque cafe at 15mins drive from Miao town, with 180° view of the mountains and the river. The cafe as three different themed sitting areas - a near counter area, river-view cantilever area, & a tea-estate view area. (My theory) Three sitting areas with three tables on each symbolising partnership of three sisters! :P
How to reach this cafe?
Head towards Namdapha National Park from Miao town, 15 mins drive uphill you will see on you right is PISI's. The cafe has huge parking area.
Why to visit this cafe?
The cafe offers you with mesmerising view of the mountain landscape and the river along with their delicious food. This cafe has three different type of sitting areas to choose from either be river view, tea-estate view, or near counter area.
The cafe has limited cuisines on its menu, howsoever, the available cuisines provide exploding flavours to you taste buds at a pocket friendly price. Read moreVisited this beautiful restaurant today for lunch. Located right in the middle of nowhere this restaurant provides refreshing views of the mountains, tea garden and the river/valley.
What makes it one if the best is the service. The lady at the counter (who seems to me as the owner) was courteous, gentle, welcoming and helpful. Though the place was running at its full capacity, she was managing it pretty well. The other staff members were good too.
One can enjoy both alcoholic and non-alcohic beverages here.. I would suggest to try their cocktails, which we really liked. Also, the food served was freshly prepared and did really taste good. My favourite was the pork cooked with local herbs and spices. The ambience was bright and clean too. The prices are okay too considering the amount served.
The only thing which we found a bit difficult, was pre-booking our lunch a day before. Since, they have limited space it is suggested to book a day in advance if one is planning to visit on weekends and holidays. We tried calling some 5 times a day before but no one received the calls. However, in the evening a lady from Pisi's called back and not only took our booking but also apologised saying she was busy with guests. And that made our day.
Overall, we had a nice time at this...
Read moreWe started our road trip from Digboi to reach this place in Miao. It is around 85km from Digboi. Road connectivity is nice with few bad patches after crossing Jagun before reaching Miao. This place is beautiful and surrounded by tea gardens on two sides and river and grassy mountains on the other. The river is not accessible from this place. Property is well maintained with beautiful garden, flora and a eye catching main building with is made of wood. We ordered different food items and it was superb. It’s really a commendable job done by the owners for keeping top notch quality of food items. The most beautiful area of the property is the wooden deck yard where the frame of the river and the mountains blows your mind. Prices of the food items are reasonable. Toilets are clean. You will get ample car parking space. Please don’t throw away plastics when you...
