BL6 FOOD CORNER — Restaurant in Assam

Dear BL6 Restaurant,

I’m writing to express my disappointment with a recent order I placed, which included one paneer roll, one chicken roll, and one Hakka noodles. Unfortunately, the quality of the food was far below expectations.

To begin with, the rolls were extremely underwhelming. The paneer and chicken rolls contained mostly vegetables, with barely any paneer or chicken. The chicken roll didn’t even have the second layer of egg, and the end of the roll was left open, making it very difficult to eat. It felt as though the rolls were hastily prepared, lacking both substance and care—something I would expect from an untrained street vendor, not a professional kitchen.

The Hakka noodles, while somewhat edible, were disappointing in quantity. For the price charged, the portion was not sufficient even for one person. Moreover, the condiments, including ketchup and chili sauce were diluted with water, which is frankly unacceptable.

Adding to the frustration, despite the restaurant being just about 1 km away (from Chaliha Nagar to Bordoloi Nagar), it took nearly an hour for the food to arrive. Given the low traffic in this area during afternoon time, this delay was unexpected and added to the dissatisfaction.

I genuinely believe that most local food stalls serve better quality at a more reasonable price. This experience was not reflective of the standards I had hoped for.

I request a refund or a complimentary replacement for the substandard food provided. I hope you take this feedback constructively and make necessary improvements in quality, presentation, and delivery...

The restaurant is situated in a relatively isolated location, which results in limited customer footfall. It offers only Chinese cuisine. The food quality was satisfactory. I tried their vegetable fried rice and paneer chilli. It is hoped that the quality will improve in the future, particularly with the use of better-quality rice.
