REVIEW & UPDATE Grossly overrated at 3.7 stars. Avoid, unless you are dying of hunger, not having eaten for days. Bad taste, bad packaging, rude phone etiquette, over priced, over hyped and I doubt the hygiene. I say doubt only because I have not physically seen the place.
Placed a delivery order for chicken momos and chicken fried rice. @ Rs. 24/per momo, there is barely any chicken, lots of onion and why is it dirty brown in color? I don't recall seeing whole wheat momos on the menu. As for the chicken fried rice, it's fried for sure, more like over fired to dryness or maybe stale and then refried. Instead of normal chicken there were shreds of tandoori chicken!!! Sacrilege!!!
I called them and asked how they prepare chicken fried rice. Whoever picked the phone was patient and explained. When I told them what I received, he said regular chicken was over so they made it with the tandoori chicken! I asked for a refund which they promised. Yet to receive.
UPDATE: I showed up at their location early morning when they had just opened, 3 days after the incident and explained what had happened and that no one bothered reversing the money. They listened and asked what was ordered and when. I gave them the time, date and food order. They paid the money without further questions or comments.
Please ensure you visit the place before placing an order. In short, you may not have much...
Read moreNew Momo Ghar located in R.G Baruah Road opposite of Guwahati Commerce College..As the place is full of college and hostels environment..This place serves one of the best fast food items in reasonable price specially for a student to afford it.. Starting from momos, rolls, chowmein, fried rice, tandooris and various chicken and pork items.. Visited this place few days ago ordered chicken fried rice along with Chicken steam momos and Fried Chicken momos.. Fried rice was well cooked with less oil and all the rubbish sauces..Costed me 80 rupees but the quality and quantity was upto the mark which made my stomach full..Both the varieties of momos were lip smacking comparing to their price. Would recommend everyone to have a try here to taste their various items within reasonable price. Both their red and green chutneys were awesome as they don't mix whole bucket of water. The place was also clean and the food too was hygienic.. Students do have...
Read moreI was excited to see the momos from New Momo Ghar. They looked big and juicy.. Very tempting. But that's where the good things ended. They should just rename their momos to 'Onion momo' because that's what they are. There was no difference in taste between the chicken and pork... Both just filled with onions. Finding a piece of meat inside is equivalent to finding the lost treasure of Eldorado! Not...
