Rice Tales — Restaurant in Assam

Just had an amaizing lunch at the RICE TALES .This place is all about the ethnic assamese foods .Its menu is feel up with all sorts of green herbs , soups and the nonveg dishes ( chicken , pork ,mutton , duck and fish). Ordered fish thali and pork thali and chicken dry fry and it turn out to be the best assamese thalis i have ever . Check out the photos . The fish (Rou ) was served with elephant apple(ou tenga ) , it was the best fish curry i have ever . The pork was served with thick gravy of tomato and carrot . It was different from the other pork dish i have eaten earlier yet delicious . Chicken dry fry was luscious

So apart from the food this place got a well organised spacious and decorated interior . The space was clean and tidy .Go through the photos i have uploaded u can view the interiors The staffs were polite and responsive

Went first time on 6th Feb 2022 for lunch wanted to order thali but no thali was available so we ordered Rice for two and one full plate matimahor pork. We had to wait 2 hrs for food and when order came they provided pork curry with some lai xaak which did not look good and rice which was served cold and very less quantity for two. The response of waiter was not good. There was no electricity so waiter replied that they mistakenly made pork curry. We did not had our food and went away. The experience was very bad. If restaurant is able to provide what was asked they should inform earlier to the customer rather than making them wait for two hours. I would suggest this restaurant as overhyped, misguiding, managerial is poor, water leakage in the restaurant and poor...

The food was good. Not like, Really Great, but yeah, decent. But I must say the quality has degraded from before. Also, the way to the restaurant is laden with red spit marks everywhere. Definitely not a good feeling when you're going to a restaurant with your family. The waiters were reeking of Gutka, in fact, all or most of them were chewing Gutka while taking orders and delivering the food, again, a very bad vibe and feeling. Cleanliness should be considered for a family/ fine dine kind of a restaurant. Food took quite a bit of time to be served. Overall, the experience was not bad but quite mediocre.
