Becoming a member of Kings Club was one of the best decisions that I ever made thus far. Kings Club is like a second home for me and it has been such a pleasure hosting events and entertaining guests at Kings club. The ambience is great, the food is exceptional and most importantly the staff is very courteous. I think it is the staff that really is the main reason that this club attracts its guests. In particular I would like to commend two of my favorite staff members of Kings Club. Ms. Jayanthi takes care of the room reservations. It has been a pleasure getting the accommodation arranged through her. She always attends to the needs of the guests very well and has been very accommodative when it comes to changes needed or addressing specific needs like guiding my guests who are not used to this part of Bangalore. She has a pleasant smile always and goes an extra mile to ensure that the guests enjoy their stay. Recently I had a situation wherein my guests were arriving by train that was reaching Bangalore early in the morning and was worried that they may not be attended to. I was pleasantly surprised that Jayanthi was in at 6 AM itself and had personally supervised the arrangements for the guests who were coming in by early morning train. Mr. Murali takes care of the food arrangements. I always count on him to ensure that my guests are pleasantly surprised. He has always ensured that the necessary tables are available well in advance and the food gets served without any delays. Recently we had a situation wherein the bulk of my guests who are vegetarians preferred to have a banana leaf South Indian meal. He quickly suggested a few menu options with reasonable pricing that made it very easy for us to choose from. We were pleasantly surprised that the club could adapt the food so nicely based on the preferences of the guests.
I wish Jayanthi, Murali , all the staff in Kings Cub the very best and look forward to frequently bringing my guests...
Read moreI had an event planned by the kings club and had a very bad experience. I had requested an environmentally friendly event. The person who spoke to us initially claimed to be an "environmentalist" himself and had previously worked for the forest department. Falling for the words, we booked the hall for our event. We had given the tiniest of details about how we wanted it. like strictly no plastic bottles, instead using reusable glass/steelware, no paper napkins instead reusable cloth napkins/towels, and the guy had agreed (Else I would have made my arrangements). On the day of the event, they started serving plastic water bottles and when enquired about it they said they were just serving it for breakfast and wouldn't repeat the same for lunch (which almost killed my whole point of having a sustainable event). But later during lunch, I spotted the waiters serving the water from the same plastic bottles in a glass mug. We were highly disappointed and the person who initially spoke to us was hiding his face in the last. And talking about food, that was the worst service too. The food was all dry and also food was over even before the count (We had asked to arrange it for 225 guests but some of the dishes were only served for 150). Most horrible service. They could have at least let us know in advance if they couldn't arrange it, we could have arranged the rest by ourselves. Overall a very negative experience and wouldn't recommend it. The one star is only for the decorations from a third party recommended by the same person who...
Read moreUnlike the engineered smiles and faux homely atmosphere that one experiences at 5 star hotels, Kings Club has genuinely courteous staff that are happy to help you and make you feel at home. The interiors are tastefully done and just radiate warmth. The club has two restaurants, one at the terrace level and the other one is on the first floor. The first floor restaurant has multiple cuisines on offer, all of which are wonderfully done to perfection; none of the pretentions, its just excellent food that will leave you wanting more. Though the terrace restaurant, which overlooks the Malathalli lake, was not open when we visited, I can imagine spending my weekends here and unwinding with friends and family. In addition to the restaurants, the Club has several world class sports amenities – Olympic sized pools, snooker room, badminton court, table tennis, & tennis court. They do also have a full-fledged gym, space for yoga/pilates/zumba, and a spa (yaay!). The personnel providing us the tour of the club mentioned that coaches are available to one if one intends to learn any of these sports or needs help with fitness activities. I am really excited that we now have such a club in our neighbourhood that caters to the needs of kids and adults in my family. I can very much see a fun weekend with the entire...
