BAIT & TRAP I wish Google had minus ratings as well. It was a day of disaster when we went to Matkka, the place was not completed and they had opened for business. Now is the interesting cum shocking part, we checked the menu pricing on The District app and went for friends meet. The waiter asked us to scan their QR CODE and we compared the pricing and it was like almost double of what was posted on the district app. Our gang being like Gandhi brought this up to the waiters notice and asked him to honor the price mentioned on the district menu for Matkka, which he initially agreed with and we ordered our drinks and waited for half an hour... Later I see they are trying to do multiple phone calls like it's emergency..after half an hour one so called manager comes and informs that the QR scanned in their premises is the valid one and they don't recognise other pricing, later they came up with excuse of The district app menu not being updated...blah blah blah... We were genuinely told if they couldn't honor the pricing then we left and went to another place...all this took 45 min...what a waste of our time and energy....worst customer service and ambience... Decent food and service but a FLY FELL INTO OUR DRINK AND SPOILED THE VIBE. Needs to improve hygiene.

We tried the sabudana vada, goli bajji, chicken ghee roast, and neer dosa — the food was overall decent, and the ghee roast especially stood out. The ambience is calm and peaceful, and the servers were polite.We also tried two cocktails.

However, the experience took a turn when a fly fell into our drink after we had consumed only about 25% of it. There were quite a few flies around, which clearly points to a hygiene issue. I declined a replacement drink out of courtesy — I didn’t want the restaurant to bear the loss and I was being cosniderate— but the person with me wasn’t comfortable continuing drinking either so we didn't ask for the replacement as we didn't want to drink more.

Despite this, they still charged us for the drink, which I genuinely feel they shouldn't have. It was a matter of basic decency and accountability, especially since the issue originated from their end.

This one incident left a sour note on an otherwise decent visit. Hope the management takes cleanliness more seriously going forward as it will definitely impact...
