Two of my friends and I arrived at the restaurant by 1pm. It was quite busy. We got a seat by 1.15 only. We asked for a menu. Instead of providing us the menu, after 15 mins of our nonstop asking them, they told us if we order veg thali it will get done faster. We said we wanted to have a look at the menu first but the waiter gave us a look as if we were so annoying and he was tired of us. For the next 10 to 15 minutes, the waiter was avoiding us. Two groups had eaten already and left the table next to us. By 2 pm, we were tired and asked another waiter (probably a cashier lending an extra hand) and he took our order. We wanted 1 chicken Schezwan fried rice and 2 chicken biryani. He said chicken biryani was sold out. We changed our order to 2 chicken Schezwan fried rice and 1 veg biryani. We got the veg biryani soon. And then they brought us one chicken fried rice. We had SPECIFICALLY told Schezwan. When we told the waiter that, he said Schezwan is just a bit of red colouring added to the fried rice. We were so annoyed and told him that we wanted what we asked for. By then it was already 2.10pm. We had a lecture to attend at 2 pm. By the time we got our order it was 2.20pm. The waiters were so unapologetic the whole time. But nevertheless I had had masala dosa for breakfast there the same day....
Read moreVisited this place uncountable times in the past six years. It's an average place but famous for certain items. you can get good south Indian breakfast items here, the plus point is their sambar and worst thing is their chutney. If you can go for breakfast before 9:30am, you can get peanut-onion-tomato chutney which is amazing. Their masala tea is worth trying. In the lunch, south Indian thali is the most ordered thing here. You'll get north thali too, but don't touch the soup that comes with it 😝. soups are average to below average per say. Non veg items are better than their veg items here. You can't get chapati or phulka in the night. It's also a good place for snacks. Chef special items are worth trying. This place again is mostly crowded. Ambience is good. Leaving aside chef specials, the price of regular items are cheap taking in view of the prices in Bengaluru city. You can finish your lunch with Rs.56/-. It's opened from 7:15am...
Read moreThey have a shortage of menus for such a huge place they have printed only 2-3 menus and they take atleast 15-20 minutes to give the menu. It's one of the top technical institutions and it should have the option on tables to view the menu through qr code to solve this issue. Also they don't clean up the tables after previous customer leave making wait times high. After this the order takes almost 25-30 minutes to come at min. After you finish eating they take at least 10-15 min to bring the bill after which you have to stand and pay at the counter.
The food quality for north indian special thali was pathetic. They just had one naan which didn't even had butter. Their matar paneer sabji just had gravy, peas and some negligible piece of paneer, dal was tasteless and the other 2 dishes tasted awful. The staff doesn't even answers the...
