Located in a narrow lane this little place is quite famous among the locals for their tasty breakfast menu. Locating it without the help of Google Maps could be a task. They serve piping hot Vegetable Pulav, Uppittu or Kharabath, Acrey Idli, Vade & Dosa in the morning. I tried their Pulav and Idli-vade there itself and bought Kharabath as a parcel. Pulav was good but wasn't as spicy as many reviews suggested. I had spicier pulav than this in other popular pulav restaurants of Bengaluru. The chutney is definitely spicy and it goes well with everything. Acrey Idli (ಎಕರೆ ಇಡ್ಲಿ) was another USP of this place. It's basically double the size of Thatte Idli and half layer thinner than thatte idli. The unique dimension of this idli contributes the spongy texture and it tastes so good with that spicy chutney. Uppittu / Kharabath was good. It's kind of watery but you can experience a lot of different spices in it. I really liked Kharabath and regretted not having it hot at the eatery itself. The atmosphere is pretty basic. In a small space they have managed to serve the multiple items. There is very limited space inside to stand and eat. So, it's better to come out as soon as you get your item. Since they serve the food on paper, people tend to spill the food on one another, so be cautious. The hygiene factor could improve a little bit. Since the dosa making place didn't look so neat, I refrained myself from getting the Dosa. The service is very genuine. The owner & serving staff act very humble and serve quickly. But, it's better to exercise patience during the weekends when the crowd is unmanageable. They accept UPI payments & cash. Parcel service is also equally quick. I recommend this place for their Special menu like Idli, Uppittu & Pulav with Chutney. -BeingBakasura

Hi Google users, I had wanted to visit SSP Refreshments for quite some time now. It was totally worth the wait. I went there during lunch time around 12:30 pm hence I did not get a chance to order the famous Acre Idli. I had opted for parcel as I wanted to enjoy the dishes with my family. I ordered all the rice dishes i.e. Pulav, Chitrana (Lemon Rice) and Mosarana (Curd Rice). Mr. Lokesh was very friendly as he promptly packed my order. He was very thankful that I had visited the place from quite a long distance. The prices are very reasonable and I can't think of any other place in Bangalore where we can get rice dishes at Rs. 40 per plate and that is awesome to taste. Taste Wise all the rice dishes were heavenly and the chutney was superb and a deadly combination for the Pulav rice. The Curd rice was next level. The quantity they serve in parcel for one plate was enough for two adults (of course this is my opinion it might be less for others!!!). As I had chosen parcel they had packed sufficient quantity of their tasty chutney. Bottom line is that in both quality and quantity the SSP Refreshment SSP Eating House rocks and is one of the hidden treasures of Bangalore and must be cherished by one and all!!! 🤞 My tips before visiting this place. Tip#1: There is no parking area for cars but with bikes you can manage. So kindly plan accordingly. I had opted for an auto ride to avoid any inconveniences. Tip#2: If you want to eat the famous Acre Idly please make sure to visit the place before 11:30 am. Finally if you are in and around Bangalore Jayanagar area this place is a must visit for a quick bite!!!😍👍 Regards, Deepak.

Go here for the home 🏠 made taste 👅 of the food which is very very pocket friendly and not for cleanliness and hygiene. Be ready for people who keep coughing and spitting around this place. This is a place where u go with your guy friends and not family 👩‍👩‍👦‍👦. If you are going by car 🚘, go luck finding parking. I have been here multiple times but this time around took some photos and thought will leave a review if it helps the googlers! The highlight of this place is the acre idli and chutney. Next is the ricebath/palav. You can also try their dosé which is as close to home 🏡 made as you can get. It should be eaten right of the griddle else will get completely soggy. This is a good place for take away/parcel of all items except the dosé which will lose its integrity for sure by the time you eat at home. Place cleanliness - 1/5 Food quality - 5/5 Taste - 5/5 Ambience - 2/5 (very old Bangalore rustic) Let people know what you feel.

Small hotel located in Someshwara Nagar successfully running by Mr. Lokesh Raju sir.I would say he is a very friendly, humble person. He answered all my questions, shared all the info and offered me great respect too. Thank you sir. I congratulate on your successful journey of 30 years of SSP refreshment and i wish it should complete more and more years without losing authentic taste of any of the food items you serve. 👏🏻👍🏻 I would say one of the best place for plate idli/tatte idli/acre idli and pulao. Tastes awesome, reasonable prices and you can take a mix/combo of anything you wish. Menu here is Kharabath,Pulao,Chitranna/lemon rice, Acre idli,Mosranna/curd rice, Vada. You get all food items except Vada half plate. Daily Vada will come from authentic Cubbonpet Muddanna hotel. You'll get only thick chutney for all the food items. No raita for Pulao. Purified Drinking water is available and you also have an option of buying a bisleri water bottle in the hotel itself. I think there is no drinking hot water available. No need to panic about serving plates. They will serve on leaf and paper which is use and throw. Take away also available. I don't know about other food items,They will pack Pulao in come shape packet. Better you bring separate boxes for each food item you take. They also accept bulk orders. Please contact Lokesh Raju sir for more details. Coming to payment, they accept both cash and online payments. Coming to parking, if you are coming by car, forget about it. There is no way parking a car in that small Street. You can come by two wheeler but it's also hard to find parking place on weekends and mornings. If your like the review please give a like and do visit the hotel. #SUPPORT...
