I had a dreadful incident lately, but I'm not surprised given the quality of service they provide. My husband and I, along with our 3-year-old Frenchie, started visiting this place back in 2022. However, after just two visits, we stopped going due to the poor quality food and exorbitant prices. Later, we met a lady named Mampi from Zigly and were quite happy with her grooming service.

Eventually, she asked us to visit TherPup as she had started her grooming service there. Initially, an amount of Rs. 199 was required to make an appointment, with the full payment due after the service. But here, they demand full payment in advance, which is unfair. We booked an appointment, reached the destination, and asked the receptionist to take Loki inside for grooming. He asked for the full payment, and my husband, surprised, questioned why. Previously, we always paid after the service, so this sudden change was confusing. The conversation remained civil until Mr. Anuj, displaying a lot of attitude and arrogance, arrived seemingly just to pick a fight. We politely explained our usual payment method, but he insisted this upfront payment policy had been in place for years and rudely told us to pay or leave. This was truly absurd.

Anuj then called Mampi, narrating the story in his own way. We waited patiently, considering Mampi. When I called her, she was upset and started yelling at me, defending Anuj and claiming he never speaks harshly and looking at his pleasing face pet parents are coming here. He has a track record of three to four years and like it goes. Frankly, I don't care about Anuj's character; as a customer, I expect professional service, not arrogance. Why is she getting upset and bragging about him? The conversation was intolerable, with complaints about our alleged lateness and other unfounded accusations. Even if we were late, it doesn't justify their behavior. We are paying customers, flexible enough to reschedule or cancel when necessary.

I was shocked that Mampi got so offended over our conversation with Anuj. Whether he is her partner, friend, or anything else, this is a business, and personal relationships should not interfere with customer service. She behaved immaturely and senselessly, not allowing me to speak. She also stated that full payment is required even if the grooming session needs to be stopped for any reason. This is absurd. We never insisted on accommodating our dog for any grooming session; Mampi often messaged my husband asking to bring Loki in, and I have proof of this. She excels at upselling other services by falsely claiming our dog needs them. According to her, barking at the sound of a hairdryer or whining during a bath are behavioral issues. My Loki is a sweet, well-behaved dog who has never had any aggression issues. He is good with humans and is only leashed during walks because he isn't socially active with all dogs.

Several pet parents have complained that TherPup's one-month training, costing 25k, is useless and detrimental to dogs' health. Additionally, many have commented on Anuj's arrogance and rudeness. I tolerated Mampi's unnecessary complaints about my dog out of politeness, which I now regret. She thinks there is no better groomer in Bangalore for Loki, but he has been comfortable at several other places where he was treated well.

I advise pet owners to avoid this establishment for the well-being of their furry companions. The staff's behavior, unprofessionalism, and disregard for customer satisfaction make it clear that they prioritize profit over the welfare of pets. I will never return due to the unpleasant and unprofessional behavior of Mampi and Anuj. Losing a customer might not be significant to them, as Mampi stated, but one bad remark can spoil their reputation, and I will never recommend this...

Im here to reply for my recent response i received on a review. Pet parents kindly be aware of this place and their unprofessional business. You can save money and health of your paw babies. I truly don’t need any clarification about the current incident. Im well aware of it and the reason I reviewed is because this should be brought to front so that several pet parents would be cautious. Who ever has responded, its not a wonder that you would never agree the faults at your part and keep defending your unethical behaviour. I really don’t care!! Im happy to completely cut off your business from my list. I visited this place only for grooming sessions that too ones in 3months and not every 1-2months as you wrongly mentioned. Kindly correct that. You have made several mistakes in your previous response. All I can say is you have lost a customer and you will lose several due to your unprofessional and irresponsible behaviour. I never said i didn’t like Mampi’s grooming sessions. I always liked and i have already said mampi that im only coming to therpup because of the CC products that is been used for grooming as we always use the same on Loki. But the last grooming session was horrible to the core. The fur was not even properly brushed and the irregularities can be easily visible but somehow I wanted to take him away and go home. Even if I complain about this matter, you will say that it is the problem with my dog’s fur rather than giving me a resolution or a good service. According to your business no client should ever question your faults and should agree to whatever nonsense. Which I can’t!! On May 19, mampi never denied to take loki for the appointment. She booked a time slot of her wish and I clearly told her i will be reaching by 11 and reached by 11 16 and stop cooking up stories by saying we are delayed by 1.5 hours. Better learn to check proper timings. And suppose if this time was not ok i asked her to cancel it with full rights. Why i had to take loki for a session was because we were shifting our house and didn’t have time to groom loki which i already informed Mampi. I also have the chat history which I can share that here. I still have no doubts in mentioning about the relationship between Anuj and Mampi and with respect i mentioned that. I have reviewed Mampi according to her behaviour. I was continuously talking about the immature and horrible behaviour of both and not about the grooming part. So talk to my point. Mampi continuously defended Anuj for no reason stating, “he has such a pleasing face and looking at his face pet parents come here. He never talks harshly to anyone and he has a service record of 3 years and is excellent in what he does. So what does that mean? A person with any number of service record will never commit a mistake? And all the mistake happens only from the customer side is it? Who really cares about Anuj’s pretty face. Im here at your place for respect and best service. Keep that in mind. Wrong assumptions, irrespecutful dealings and mentality to not accept his or her fault are always one’s failure. Which can’t be tolerated in any service industry. Again I don’t care about your clarification anymore. The better you serve the better it...

I had an extremely disappointing and frustrating experience at this grooming salon. The entire team, including the manager, acted unprofessionally and showed no sense of customer service or care for animals. My dog was refused grooming simply because he had a bit more hair than usual. Instead of speaking to us politely or offering a solution, the staff stood around gossiping among themselves, making comments about how long it might take and deciding they “can’t do it” — without even trying.

When I contacted the manager, I expected someone to take responsibility, but they were completely clueless, dismissive, and lacked even basic professionalism. There was no effort to explain, assist, or handle the situation respectfully. It’s shocking that a business dedicated to pet care could treat customers and animals in such a careless and disrespectful manner.

This experience caused unnecessary stress for both me and my dog. The entire team, from staff to management, needs proper training in professionalism, communication, and empathy. I would strongly advise pet owners to avoid this place until they seriously improve their attitude and standards.

FYI

Please read below..

completely disagree with your feedback. I know the difference between a discussion and gossip, and your team was absolutely unprofessional and clueless during my visit. My vet had specifically advised a full haircut for Teddy — not just trimming or touch-up — for health reasons.

Also, during my previous visit, your team did a poor job, which led to Teddy developing hair tangles and a skin infection due to your salon’s unhygienic conditions and lack of proper care. It’s disappointing to see that instead of improving your standards, you choose to justify unprofessional behavior.

Frankly, your centre seems more like a place for gossip over coffee than a professional grooming salon. For your information, Teddy has now had a proper full haircut at VETIC, Whitefield, where the groomers followed the doctor’s note and handled him with utmost professionalism. You might want to learn from them how to run a proper...

One of the best places for our furry friends to hang out and meet their friends, swim, get groomed and have a few nice meals! They also have boarding options. There is an entry fee of ₹250 person which is redeemable on final bill. This is optional, in case any of the pet grooming service is availed. Also, swimming can be availed at a discounted price on weekdays. The swimming pool is really good and clean. There is always someone available for assistance. They also help if the dog is new to swimming. Mostly, they would check the temper of the dogs for group swimming. However, that is not always the case. There is a trampoline for the kids and dogs both. A lot of training tools are also available. They have recently expanded the sitting area and added wine cocktails to the menu. The downside of it is that it has resulted in little less free space for the dogs that were available previously. Now, they also have spa, oil massage and several other grooming options along with a pet store adjacent to it. Food: 4.5/5 - The food quality is good and the menu contains a good amount of options. Service: 4/5 - The service is also fine. Most of the people are helpful. They regularly clean up after the pets. Several water bowls are kept at different places. They were not able to effectively manage conflict between pet parents (based on last experience). Spa: 4/5 - Little early to comment on the effectiveness of massage and spa should be but a good initial impression. The spa area also looks neat and clean compared to the earlier small one which is now used only for blow dry. For some reason, the grooming owner insisted on keeping my copy of the bill and asked what will I do with it - the only dent in the experience. PS - My pet also got a really nice bow tie at the end of his spa session. A few things that could be improved: 1. The grasses are not well maintained and are very rough in certain areas. 2. Lot of mosquitoes in evening 3. The parking area could be better managed and with better roads.

This place was not what I expected. It was quite dirty. Of course, a bit of dirt is to be expected, as there are dogs and humans sharing the space, but I found dried poop on my chair and the building where the restroom is was filthy. It's a bit much for an place where food is served. Everything is a bit dusty, including the tables and the outdoor sink. The whole place just feels unprofessional and unkempt, as though it's run by a group of young men (which it seems to be - I didn't see any female staff, and most staff looked to be in their 20s and early 30s). If it was just a dog daycare I would understand. It has been branded as a cafe though, and food/hygiene standards must be maintained. The dogs themselves are friendly, but not overwhelmingly so. Don't expect to be greeted by them; they are very used to people, and kind of just ignore you most of the time. Several looked unclean and in need of grooming. This was the most surprising thing about the cafe. Several of the dogs seemed neglected and uncared for. I can't speak to the grooming/veterinary practices here, but they might be in need of an upgrade. Food was hit and miss. The potato wedges were tasty. The nachos were too, but by the time I had finished eating them, I was sick of the BBQ sauce that they were covered in. I asked for black coffee, no sugar, no milk, but the coffee came with milk. Something to keep in mind: there is a cover fee that you pay at the gate (Rs. 250 on weekends, not sure about weekdays). This fee actually goes towards your food, i.e. you get Rs. 250 worth of free food per person on weekends. Overall, this place needs a facelift. The concept is great, but the execution falls short of the professionalism that this place needs to earn great reviews. People will keep coming here as long as there are dogs, but in order for Bangalore to really notice and appreciate this cafe, several things need to change.

Paws & Pasta Paradise I recently visited Therpup, and I must say it's a hidden gem for dog lovers and food enthusiasts alike. The ambience at Therpup is simply enchanting. As soon as you walk in, you're greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere. The cozy decor, soothing background music, and the charming presence of dogs all around create a unique and delightful setting. Now, let's talk about the food. Therpup's menu is a culinary delight. I tried their signature dishes, and they exceeded my expectations. From mouthwatering pastas to delectable desserts, every dish was a treat for the taste buds. They even have a dedicated dog-friendly menu for your furry friends, ensuring that everyone leaves with a satisfied belly. But what truly sets Therpup apart is the exemplary service. The service crew here is not just friendly; they go above and beyond to make your experience memorable. They're attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and quick to fulfill any request. Most importantly, they handle the dogs with care and ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for both human and canine patrons. Therpup is a place where you can unwind, savor delicious food, and spend quality time with your four-legged companions. Whether you're a dog owner or simply a dog enthusiast, this cafe offers an unparalleled experience. I can't recommend Therpup enough for its fantastic ambience, scrumptious food, and outstanding service. It's a must-visit for anyone looking to combine their love for dogs and culinary delights.
