The term "cake" has a long history. The word itself is of Viking origin, from theĀ Old Norseword "kaka".[2] The ancient Greeks called cake πλακοῦς (plakous), which was derived from the word for "flat", Ļ€Ī»Ī±ĪŗĻŒĪµĪ¹Ļ‚ (plakoeis). It was baked using flour mixed with eggs, milk, nuts and honey. They also had a cake called ā€œsaturaā€, which was a flat heavy cake. During the Roman period, the name for cake became ā€œplacentaā€ which was derived from the Greek term. Placenta were baked on a pastry base or inside a pastry case.[3] The Greeks invented beer as aĀ leavener,Ā fryingfrittersĀ inĀ olive oil, andĀ cheesecakesĀ usingĀ goat's milk.[4]Ā InĀ ancient Rome, basic bread dough was sometimes enriched with butter, eggs, and honey, which produced a sweet and cake-like baked good.[5]Ā LatinĀ poetĀ OvidĀ refers his and his brother's birthday party and cake in his first book of exile,Ā Tristia.[6] Early cakes in England were also essentially bread: the most obvious differences between a "cake" and "bread" were the round, flat shape of the cakes, and the cooking method, which turned cakes over once while cooking, while bread was left upright throughout the baking process.[5] Sponge cakes, leavened with beaten eggs, originated during the Renaissance, possibly in Spain. CakeĀ (also known asĀ gateauĀ orĀ gĆ¢teau, from French) is a form of sweet dessert that is typicallyĀ baked. In its oldest forms, cakes were modifications of breads, but cakes now cover a wide range of preparations that can be simple or elaborate, and that share features with other desserts such asĀ pastries,Ā meringues,Ā custards, andĀ pies.

Good place to celebrate parties. Here you'll get the cake of good quality. Superb taste of cake. The best cake I have tasted in Muzaffarpur. The price of cake is slight high but when you taste the cake then you will forget about the money.specially I love the taste of cakes here. And also there is so many food items in both veg or non veg.

I was travelling for a very long distance and suddenly I got a reminder about the women's day. I found it special for my family. I arrived at The Cakes. I was bit anxious about the quality of the cake. [Are they fresh and they should be eggless.] This was my primary concern. The shopkeeper assured me for the quality and taste. He also assured me about the eggless cake. Still anxious I reached my home. celebrated that event. Now I tasted the cake. It was so yummy full of cream. I loved the taste, it was neither too sweet nor too salty. It was just an apt combination of the base and cream. They have some stuffings which were also amazing. Finally The Cakes made my day. Now onwards I order cakes from...
